Denied!

Good morning, WA Family:

It has been a few weeks since I posted a blog on WA, so I thought I would write a little something about how things have been going for me.

Most days I have a pretty positive outlook on my progress here at WA. However, the last few days have been quite discouraging for me. My applications for several affiliate programs have been denied, Google AdSense denied me, SkimLinks denied me, and my website traffic has decreased significantly (even though it wasn't huge to begin with).

I'm working on setting up all of my Social Media pages and getting those linked to my website. I'm really hoping doing that will increase my website traffic.

Forgive me if I'm coming off as a "Debbie Downer". I'm just having an off week I guess.

Amy

I haven't started applying to any affiliates yet but don't be discouraged. Stay motivated! You may have been denied right now but it doesn't mean you will always be denied. Just keep putting up content on your website and when the time comes again, apply! It takes time and perhaps it's just not the right time yet and when the time comes, the sales may come in like no tomorrow!

You've got this! =)

Thanks so much for your encouragement! :)

Amy

Any time! =)

I am trying to but my phone won't let me. I know I am new to this and I will probably have bad days to but I'm glad you are here!

Thanks, Deb! I'm glad you are here too! :)

Thanks so much for the commen

You're welcome, Debbie. :)

Hey Amy...

Its times like this when you show the world (and yourself) how awesome you are!

I've read many times, and been told many times that in the world of online marketing, a HIGH percentage of people give up only moments before they are about to have a major breakthrough. (not that I think you're going to give up... because you're not) =)

It seems to me you have been doing something right as you have had at least some traffic. If you can get some traffic, you can get a LOT of traffic.

Keep doing what you are doing. Develop your social media presence... keep blogging... keep filling your website and social media feeds with valuable content and keep applying to the affiliate programs. they won't be able to ignore your hard work forever. Keep grinding away...

You got this girl!

cheers!
jeff

Hi Jeff! Thank you so much for your suggestions and positivity! You're a sweetheart! :)

Amy

Do not worry about being denied.

Just focus on building your website - once you build up traffic it will not be a problem to getting approved. And without traffic no one will click the affiliate links anyways.

Once you start getting more traffic people will even start reaching out to you to get you to join their programs.

And do not feel discouraged about the traffic. Can see you have not been here for long. It takes time before Google trust you. Just keep following the training here and it will happen.

Thanks so much for the information you provided! I very much appreciate it! :)

I am working hard but my phone won't corporate

Try to find the contact information for the affiliate managers that denied you. Call them or contact them via email. Explain your promotional plans for their products and that you will only use ethical and white hat methods. Let them know that you will abide by the rules and that you will adhere to any compliance (FTC, etc.) that is needed.

Often, these affiliate managers have to deal with affiliates that don't follow the rules and the vendors themselves will get in trouble. Usually all that is needed to get you approved is an assurance that you'll do the right thing. At the very least, it can't hurt try!

Best Regards,
Jim

Thanks for the suggestion, Jim! I hadn't even thought of contacting the affiliate managers. I'll definitely give that a try! :)

Amy

For me, it has worked about 90% of the time. The affiliate managers just want to make sure your not a robot or a spammer. Most want the business.

Amy, my advice is just to hang in there a bit longer and I can promise you things will look much better.

It takes a while to build up a new website and the only way I see is to keep adding new content. It is normal that some affiliate sites won't accept a newbie right away, it did happen to me too when I first started out.

I wish you all the best and keep doing what you doing :)

Sylvia

Hi Sylvia and thank you so much for your kind words! Patience is a tough one, but it is definitely necessary in this case! :)

Amy

Keep going. These are part of the vicissitudes of life. Do not be discouraged. Keep moving. You will be glad you did.

Thank you for the inspiring words. :)
