Affiliate Network Termination?
I just signed up to be an Affiliate with Rakuten Marketing today. About an hour after I signed up, I received an email saying my account with them had been terminated! The email didn’t specify why, so I emailed them back asking why.
Has anyone else experienced this? Can I appeal this? I’m very frustrated! :(

Amy, I have no experience with this CO I have often wonder how it worked. I will follow you to see how if work ouy
Sandy
Sometimes when applying to programs, they go to your website to see if it is full of content and will benefit them however if the site is new they will often terminate until such times as these a beneficial relationship
Could be the issue - not sure on how much content you have Amy
Hi Vicki,
I don’t have much content right now. It seems that is probably what the issue is. I think I will spend some time over the next few days adding some content. :)
Content is key and this will attract organic traffic and give you credibility when it comes to applying for Programs
I'm glad it helped and all the best adding excellent content Amy
That happened to me as well. I didn't ask why. Since then I added another post to my site and a few more images and I got an email from them saying my application has been approved. I was like OK then thanks. Most important thing for me is I am getting into programs which I can work with right now.
Right...well I may just post a little more and hopefully they will eventually approve me.
Nothing is ever easy...LOL
Sorry to hear this.
Personally I would just move on because they are not the only fish in the internet pond.
You could spend time and find out if you can contact someone.
I hope this helps
Jennifer
The issue is that this particular Affiliate Network has a lot of advertisers I was planning on using.
Yes I get it, I really do.
I was just saying that there are others out there and although they may not be as good they are there. That's all
Given that I am Australian, I did experience the same thing, I just put it down to the fact that I'm not from the country of origin that uses the services. I went directly to each affiliate program instead, namely, Amazon etc

Yes. You may have also noticed that they used the word "suspended" in the same email, making it very difficult to understand. I too was suspended for not having a website that meets their specifications. It must be a website that is ready, with content or products you intend to sell if that's your thing. Don't worry too much about it. Just fix your site and then respond to the same email they sent you asking them to reconsider your affiliate termination.
I bet that’s why...my site is pretty basic so far. Maybe I will build it up a little bit and then reapply.
Thanks for the response! :)
