The Ostrich Principle Carries On.Off The Cliff
An extra brief yet painful post in what it details along the same lines of most of my recent posts here.
The post is inspired by a recent Yahoo Finance interview with JP Morgan's Jamie Dimon about the irreversible and
Here is the brief summary of it:
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon says U.S. student debt is "a disgrace," adding that it is "hurting America." In an interview with Yahoo Finance, Dimon attributed the crisis to the government "irresponsibly" lending over $1 trillion since taking control of federal loans in 2010. Student loan forgiveness is quickly becoming a focal point of the 2020 presidential election.
For those that have a calendar and a Google search box handy, you may want to look as to who was who in the US government in 2010.
A final reminder attributed to Thomas Jefferson, although disputed as being his by others:
"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have."
For how many more generations?
Oh but wait, to complete that self-fulfilling prophecy above, now some so called politicians are promising to wipe all student debt off. And yeah, ther ewill be some other strings with that. But hey, this time is going to be different, right?
Coincidentally they are the same who made it worse. On purpose, So they can now promise to make it all go away.
Yet the ostrich principle still rules supreme.
Nothing sounds closer to freedom than burdening the young ones until their natural demise with debit.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
Until when America?
Blessings!

Queen of the Centurions Sara,
Please do not interfere with US territorial affairs, you jurisdiction ends at the threshold of the frat house, Your Majesty! Prof Twack and i are on stables duty grooming the horses for the chariots, so please check non the togas being washed in the nearby brook for next Monday's poker match.
Now back to planet Earth.
Fran,
I see it as a mindset revolution,
Like I said before.
Light is an existential threat to darkness.
What happens to darkness when the light comes on?
That light needs to be the revolution of the public's mindset.
I keep on saying: inform, educate, empower and liberate, all in that order.
As to whether the few of us who are passionate about spreading that knowledge out there, think that it took at first 12 apostles to spread the Gospel (I am not comparing nor lessening the import of their work but rather highlighting the impact those who are dedicated to a greater cause can have across nations and continents).
Blessings!
I know, and I hope I wasn't rude.
I am just so disgusted with the political system. The promises to get elected and the lies afterwards.
Blessings my friend
Michael
Dr Prof Emeritus twack,
There is one, indeed, called the cabal.
Not for long though. I say 2020 is not just perfect vision but the perfect time for victory as well.
Light is an existential threat to darkness.
BOOM!
Blessings!
Some things are the same the world over. I quote:
"And Foreign Secretary Mr Hunt said he would cancel the tuition fee debts of young entrepreneurs who start businesses and employ people."
Interestingly though the similarities in ideas and policies are more than words, if one looks at the other frontrunner, he reminds me of someone, can't think who.
Arch,
As a parent, I took on the responsibility of teaching my guys the pros & cons of student loan.
In Canada the 'hook' to student loan is that your payment is mostly, if not all interest only, meaning the principle never gets paid!
Solution? Double or Triple up payment. (Not always possible, I know). The 'loan department' doesn't tell you this when you apply, nor does the high school curriculum... it's up to us to teach them.

I'm not liking and running, merely doing a flying visit on route to pick up children from schools, then visiting a super market to pick up some nice 'animal friendly' vegan food. I will then return to this when I can again dedicate the time it so deserves brb
I myself made the decision to go back to University at the ripe old age of 39 so I applied for the usual 'funding'. I got my degree with first class honours, however I was then offered Jobs that pay minimum wage.
My current student debt is £60,000, I cry when I think about it, but it was a necessary evil. So when I earn over £1577 a month they will start taking their pound of flesh back. However at my ripe old age (and on my current earnings) it is highly likely I will never repay this debt.
I have a £60,000 piece of paper. Bargain!! So now I am affiliate marketing to pay my dues. : )
Much Love

As the Centurion Club Queen you get french fries with tat piece of paper.

9% of anything over that threshold then. It is fresh in the mind as my son is will be starting his second year next term and we worked it all out. We may well be accustomed to debt dues to mortgages, it just seems a shame to 'saddle' students with an almost equivalent amount.
BOOM.
I will be surprised If I go over the threshold before I am picking up my pension lol
BOOM (British Government)
Sara the First Queen of The Centurions Club,
Are BOOM!s allowed on that big island of yours?
Silly me, I thought only thunder from the incessant rain was permitted.
Blessings!
Sara,
BOOM! is always included.
Recall the Roman Empire movies and how Centurions saluted?
That is the real BOOM!
Blessings
Ah, now it all makes sense. I think I might have a brown briefcase and some moccasins somewhere.
The British Invasion fires up laughter across the Atlantic...
BOOM!
I will ask Shaunna inn Canada to steal an RCMP horse so I can ride it around warning all here:
"The British Are Coming! The British Are Coming!'
OR
We can united and create our own New World Colony in Florida. We just have to ask Prof Twack to sign a declaration that he will not appoint himself king of said colony
What say you mates? Deal of the century or what?
BOOM!
Blessings!
That's the paradox, I am a made up version of me. If in doubt I refer myself to the tagline under my name.
