Fruit Or Fruit Tree, What Will It Be? - Thursday Reflections

Hello fellow worldwide WA members,

I know, I know, you may ask: "What in the world is this about?" especially being posted on an affiliate marketing website.

No, I do not have a niche website about fruit or fruit trees.

Also, as Kaju can "allegedly" attest to, I haven't completely gone bananas (at least not just yet).

"So then, what gives?" some may ask.

I was simply reflecting the other day after reading a blog post here by Andy Zeus of Yuma Bloggers https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/yumabloggers/blog/we-are-wea... and it also donned upon me the simple yet powerful analogy between us either wanting to have (fresh cut) fruit or a fruit tree instead.

"Say what? What does that blog post have to do with fruit and fruit trees?" some may ask.

Well, everything.

You see, those seeking to take the "get-rich-quick" path to "success" will eventually realize that the (fresh cut) fruit is a singular one time thing, which cannot be replenished by most laws of nature or physics (I am not up to speed on cloning I admit). Surely we may enjoy not having to do much work around the (fresh cut) fruit other than washing or peeling it, but then when it is used or eaten it is gone forever and we will need to buy or get another one. Otherwise we will be fruitless, right?

By contrast, a fruit tree will produce at the appropriate time of each year (season) multiple fruits, a recurring yearly event we can almost bank on. Surely a fruit tree will require maintenance, pruning, grafting, protecting from freezing weather, etc. (sorry if my fruit tree knowledge only goes so far, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express near a nursery a while back).

"Yeah, we know all of that stuff already, so what is your point anyway?" some may ask.

The analogy has to do with "the fruit" representing the concept of trying to "get-rich-quick" which most want to do without much training, required work and related research or patience, versus, on the other hand, "the fruit tree" which is the concept put forth by Wealthy Affiliate which recommends its members to learn, research, be patient, trust the training and proven system and which in the end will yield recurring streams of fruits, often in an unending season or harvest.

DISCLAIMER: No actual fruits or fruit trees were used in the creation of this post, nor did the cover photo produce and harm to either fruit or fruit trees. All characters in this post are purely fictional. The fruits, fruit trees and the fictional characters have all been created during Genesis by our Creator.

I hope that you managed to stay awake through the end of this post.

If so, please like, dislike, share and/or comment and let me know what do you think.

This is a great post and you made some valid points because the point is the cut fruit or the quick rich schemes is a temporary thing whereas the fruit trees or wealthy affiliate is a yearly thing because it keeps producing fruit.

So it does make sense and I enjoyed reading your post and you are not bananas by any means,

Mary

Thank you for reading and for your kind comments to my post.
It is not my wisdom at all but that of our Creator and as I point it out I only state the brilliant yet simple truth behind it.

Blessings

You are so very welcome it was my pleasure and you are absolutely right it is our Creator. We would have nothing if it wasn't for God.

And it makes alot sense too. You can have temporary or permanent. I rather have the seasonal fruit instead of having a one-time thing.

Mary

Absolutely brilliant post! So true in so many ways...
Simplistic yet powerful.

Best of luck on your journey to success!

Amy,

Thank you for your kind words.

Wishing you great success in all of your endeavors.

Blessings!

This was an awesome post! I just love the metaphors! It makes it so much more understandable! I couldn't agree with you more. The "fruit tree" is definitely to prefer before the"fresh cut fruit". There is no quick way to becoming rich. Behind every wealth there's hard and consistent work! Once again, tanks for a great, awesome post!!!

Thank you so very kindly sir, again, this is no wisdom of mines, rather, as stated at the end of my post it is all part of the divine design.

If anything, its simplicity is brilliant. We are staring at it every day, but in the mad haste and hustle we live in, there s no time to take in the sights, sounds and scents and to see its magnificence.

As the beloved Kim Clement used to say: "Eyes that LOOK are common. Eyes that SEE are rare." We all suffer from the affliction of the former because of our conditioning aka the way of the world.

Blessings!

Once again a great post. "I haven't completely gone bananas (at least not just yet)." Personally I think you are bananas, shrewdly hidden by your humor and your talent for writing excellent posts.
Another keeper. Thanks for the share,
Michael

Michael,

Thanks for your kind words, I am very humbled by them.

If I may, since I know that you are a man with deep faith of God as well, I think that lately, perhaps since I have joined WA, I can look at a picture, inspirational poster or meme and, as they say, that picture/poster/meme becomes worth 1000 words (not that any of my posts here have ever reached that word count level).

So to be sure, there is nothing special in me but rather, if there is anything worthy of being called a "talent", it is driven by the Holy Spirit, with some nudging from Kyle and all of the wonderful people of the WA community.

To give proper credit where is due, in the proper context, I find some of the lyrics in the song titled Seven by the British band called simply James:

God is love to me
Soothed away my gravity [maybe Kaju can moonwalk, I still can't]
Made me a pair of angel's wings [don't see them just yet]
Clear vision and some magic things [this is what I mean above]

Thanks again for all of your support,

Blessings!

Blessings to you as well my friend.

Delightful and also humorous! You got a chuckle out of me. Thanks for the insight! Yes, I also feel we all need to take a step back and take a look at the bigger picture here. If you take the time to learn how to mold the ground for planting, how to plant your fruit tree, and how to water it to get it to produce fruit, in the long run you will have invested in the rest of your days being fruitful with all the fruit you can eat. But if you only go to the store and buy a bag of apples instead, you eat the, then they are gone. have to go and purchase them again. Same with learning how to take your time and go step by step in building your sites and setting them up to produce fruit to help others first. In the long run you will know how to build more and you WILL flourish!!

Thanks for your kind comments and the feedback, I was afraid that not even EMP shockwaves can enter or escape my bunker, nevermind WiFi or internet.

I was wondering if I had to settle for Adam's apple or Newton's apple but they were too deep of concepts.

Believe it or not, I have actually experienced a "rent a sandwich" process at some point in life.

Hard to believe but it is true.

Now, I did say process, not an actual sandwich, right?

You see we had a timeshare, usually conveying a weekly stay at a defined time on the yearly calendar in a certain unit of a certain resort. They got really innovative, the timeshare company that is, and they decided to tell the timeshare "owners" that instead of using their one week at their "home" resort, they could get 2 weeks from the timeshare exchange called Interval International. So in effect then, the timeshare company could re-sell your week again. And again. Not 100% but the "rent a sandwich" was born and I was there to witness its birth.

Blessings!

... Analogies can be tricky ..
sometimes they are subject to perception.

"Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for hours -
Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life!"

HOOYAH!!!

Joe

Joe,

Thanks for your comments.

Speaking of fires, last we were talking about using the backyard Tiki torches to set Cortes' ships alight.

Did they burn to a crisp, or did you call the fire department to put out the fire?

Blessings

What a GREAT POST that was!

I'll rather chose to go LEARN how to fish than taking a fish from anybody!

#deferyourgratificatios!

Cheers.

Thanks for your kind words.

Much appreciated.

Blessings!

As my niche is in gardening I understand the analogy well. The only problem is each fruit tree has specific needs. For example fig trees are not totally hardy, whilst apple trees need a dormancy period ( ie cold weather) in order to produce.
Fruit tree also take around 5 years in order to produce, and most fruit tree produce heavily in one year and hardily nothing the next; they are biennial producers.
I understand the analogy but it is not as easy as most people think.

Thank you for your comments and the related info.

I think that my analogy is still valid, as even great marketers can experience dry spells or low earning time periods.

Blessings!

Exactly! you are right!

That is why we have Wealthy Affiliate to teach us how to make the right steps the first time to be able to reach further the first time. Best wishes on your journey!
