Hi there, long time no chat :)

Got a question for you. It's generally advised to keep affiliate links to text ratio about 1:100 or 200. What have you found is the ideal ratio for a page?

And does this mean different links, or the same link?

Example, does google consider 5 "affiliatelink1" links + 5 "affiliatelink2" links = 2 links or 10 links?

Thanks

Really depends on the intention and content on the page.

For example, in some cases I will have a lot of affiliate links, if I am review multiple products on the one page. Otherwise I just have a few if I am promoting one product.

The focus should really be on moving the thought process of the visitor to performing a buying action, as opposed to how many affiliate links are acceptable.

That's my approach.

Hope that helps Ade.

Thanks. I think it helps. I always read these generalizations on "ratios" yet I've found successful page that seem to not abide by any ratio scheme.

Another question... do you add "nofollow" to your affiliate links? How important is that?

I mostly use pretty links to link out to affiliate products using 307. I don't think it's a big deal to use nofollow or not. But, yeah, as I say, I MOSTLY use pretty links.

Hey Frank. Question if I wanted to add photos or images in my pages after I publish them is it possible? While I was writing context I seen the button to not only add a photo but search for some too. The problem is that once I select a photo i was not able to embed it in my context page that I was working on, since that page was not yet postend to my site. Am I ahead of myself? Will this also come later in the training? Maybe I should just stick to getting my context unfer my belt and hold off on adding images. What's your advice?

Hi Maria,

Yes, adding pictures to your posts after you have published them is very easy, and yes this will also be covered in future lessons. But generally, you simply just have to edit the post and add the picture.

The initial focus of the training is content creation which is why you haven't come across it yet, but it's probably not far off from where you are in the training.

The training also covers where to find royalty free images for your website from free sources. So something to look forward to.

Here's some training on how to add pictures to your website if you already have them. Hope that helps.

Hello Frank, How are you today? Congratulations to you on your success! I am one of the new guys here and I am currently completing the training. I must admit that I am pretty excited about this opportunity. I am trying to keep it in check because I know just from reading that patience is a big deal especially in the early stages. I look to forward to learning from you, the training courses and others here at WA. Wishing you the best. Have a great day! - Robert

Hello, Frank,

I hope you are having a wonderful evening.
I'm going to get back to the courses here so I can eventually move forward. The hosting page is down right now so I cant build the website yet. I will keep checking from time to time
to see if it's up and running.

Hello, Frank,
I'm back and all is great. I bought two domains last night
www.com domains. But anyways, I'm trying to have them built now and the site keeps telling me to sign in. I'm signed in but it keeps telling me the same thing? I could sure use a hand if you have a minute or two.

Hey Joseph,

Not quite sure what the problem is, but I'll just go with what I think it might be and we can go from there.

First, in Site Manager https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites, be sure to "Log in" https://www.screencast.com/t/vZcku7f5SSdI

You should be able to edit your website from there.

If not then you will have to raise a support ticket to WA support found here https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Hope that helps.

If not let me know.

I was just confused about everything. Those are my domain,
not my website !!! Like I said, I'm going to get back to the courses, because I not going to be able to accomplish much until
I get further along in the classes. I'm hard headed and I just needed to come to terms with that. So I'm getting back to class now, have a good night my friend.

Oh, okay Joseph.
I thought you were referring to something else.
I'll let you get back to the lessons.
You have a good night too brother.

Hi, Frank,
I went over the first few lessons and tried again and I'm in there now but I messed up by getting those domains. Because on the website builder it's asking what name do I want to use.
I went to a website that has the same name as my domain and it's Doctors and professional people there. Licensed!!! I made poor choices in picking the domains. I have to find out how to remove those from the domain page and get one through WA
And start with that. I can't believe how hard it is for me to choose a niche. So right now I'm at Answers.com trying to come up with some ideas. In about to pull my hair out Frank. Every time I try to think about a niche, my brain just shuts down.
I'm just stuck brother.

Hi Joseph,

You sent me a few suggestions via private message and I thought they were pretty good.

I also sent you a suggestion about a week ago. Did you get a chance to read it. I didn't get a reply from the last private message I sent you.

When you get a bit of time, go over it and get back to me with some of your thoughts on it.

I just tried to send you a private message Frank and not sure if you got it. I'm in the theme area. I picked out a simple theme and I was very happy for a minute!!! Until word press told me I had to install the plugins to test. Did good with the first one!! but not on the second. They sopped me before I completed the final step of installing it. It would not have joined together. And would have malfunctioned. Then something about a sandbox.
