Frank, I am not able to go back to the spot that I left off, when viewing a video. It only goes to the beginning.
How do I contact tech support?
I did send this issue to Kyle, and he sent me a video on how to watch videos(not the issue)
thank you, Gerry

Hey Gerry,

I believe the video platform used in WA is Vimeo and I'm not sure if Vimeo remembers where a person has stopped watching a video. I know Youtube remembers, but possibly not if it has been embedded in a web page like that in WA.

However, the easiest way is to just drag the progress pointer along the progress bar and go to the place where you left off.

As shown here.
https://www.screencast.com/t/oRgWwFMO5j

Other than that you could ask in Live Chat if there is a way to do it.

Hope that helps.

Hey I am finding difficulty finding a technology niche. I have 3 niches to choose from: a website explaining best pcs or laptops for different situations , new smartphone apps, or best electronics such as Alexus.

If my choices are too broad or if the niche is not marketable or anything, I will greatly appreciate any suggestions in changes or a new niche.
Reply
affilicoach Premium
Hi Chai,

Laptops and PC's are a profitable niche. I don't know much about smartphones apps, but I'd imagine that the commission structure is not as high as PC's or laptops.

Best electronics is too broad of a niche, so you'd need to narrow the niche down in order assess it's viability.
Reply
ChaiT1 Premium
what specific topic in labtops and pcs should I focus on ( price or usage, etc)
Reply
affilicoach Premium
They crossover, so you can do both.

For example :
In terms of usage
best laptop for college, best laptops for gaming,

In terms of price
best laptops for under $1000, best laptops under $1500,

Crossover.
Best laptops for gaming under $3000

Something along those lines.

You can also have them separate as outlined above and it will still make sense.

Hope that helps.

Where did I go wrong. Started building my first web site and screwed up up somewhere. First I put in the domain name under free. Then I typed in my title and 3rd chose a theme. Then things went wrong.
Obviously I downloaded the theme twice and then when I clicked on on of them it showed a screen and flashed a message thanking me for purchasing some admag program. Now I can't find it anywhere. Help

Hi AffiliateCoach!
I am not having much luck with conversion when people go to my website. They are directed there from Adwords (I can't seem to get traffic any other way). Could you take a look at my website and give me some good and honest feedback whenever you get time?

www.moneyhoneybooboo.com

I know that domain name is ridiculous. I was completely new to this and I just made something up really fast thinking that I could change it later. I didn't find out I couldn't change it until after I already had quite a bit of content on the site.
Reply
affilicoach Premium
Hey Ashley,

I visited your website.

In terms of getting more traffic to your website, you need to add more rankable content. Looks like you've only got a handful of pages of content (from what I could see). And only one of those posts appear to be targeting a specific keyword phrase.

This lesson might be useful. Find keyword phrases that you can rank for using Jaaxy or the WA keyword tool and write content based on those phrases.

When your content starts ranking in the search engines you get people coming to your website free.

In terms of converting your visitors into sales, look into phrase 2 training here. Hope that helps.

Hi Frank, thanks for your great website! I am really looking forward to digging into all the training here and getting started with my online business. I assume I am like a lot of people in that coming up with a niche is the hardest part of the whole process, so I want to run my thinking on this past you and get your recommendation.

One of my passions is food and cooking. I am not sure how focused I should be with my niche. In general, I am interested in all kinds of kitchen appliances and gadgets (which I use a lot). My question is whether for my niche website I should focus more generally on kitchen items or more specifically on one type of item. For example, I would like to start with reviews of the various types of sous vide machines that are commercially available and which ones are suitable for different kinds of cooks. So, more general to begin with or more specifically focused? Thanks in advance for your help!
Reply
affilicoach Premium
Hey Stephan,

The idea is to start off with a very narrow or specific focus. This helps you develop your content direction, as in what you should, or want, to create for that specific group of people. Or what that group of people might be interested in.

From what I can see, from performing a simply Google search, there appears to be an endless supply of topics that relate to the sous vide machine. You could probably build an entire website on sous vide machines, recipes, equipment, etc.

Hi, I have been through the first 10 lessons of the bootcamp and it's pretty basic information. I understand it's the Premium that gets you more information, but I'm not new to internet marketing and affiliate programs. To build an authority site takes a while and lots of effort. I'm trying to get a good grasp of "what the end website has to turn into" in this internet landscape to really get a site to be really profitable.
Reply
affilicoach Premium
Building an authority website is not what you think. Yes, it can take a lot of time and effort initially, but I make money with websites with less than 30 pages too.

I would recommend going for an authority website with the aim of becoming profitable before hitting 100 pages. Then it's a case of scaling and building your income out. Every new page needs to either pull in more traffic to your offers or support / educate your visitors.

Hope that helps.

Would it be possible to see some simple sites like from some affiliates that you know, that is actually generating good money and isn't like crazy complex that took years to build out?

I am looking for realistic websites that someone who finished all training can build and have it generate good results in a reasonable time.
Reply
affilicoach Premium
Here's a good example of a simple WA site that makes money.

http://waystoavoidscamsonline.com/

It's Kyle's demonstration website that he breaks down in affiliate bootcamp.

He tells you how to build it and the thought process behind it, which is the most important part.
Reply
roblam Premium
Thanks Frank,
Yes, everyone has seen that site since it's part of Lesson 1 and it's the site that everyone mentions because it's in the actual training.

That's the thing...it seems like rarely does anyone have examples other than the sites in the training which makes me think people are either very secretive about their sites because they are making so much money (or maybe so little money).

And the sites that ARE making good money seems took like it took many, many years and people poured tons of hours into it.

I learn best by example.

I guess I have to try to dig into past discussions to see if anyone has shared other examples other than what is shared in training.
Reply
affilicoach Premium
Okay, from your question, I though you were looking for an example of a website, so that you know what you should be aiming for.

That website is a very good example of that.

Most WA websites are structured in the same way, but they also have their own personalities, and they have more content and their own content direction.

Here's some pretty good examples.
http://www.workfromhomewatchdog.com/
https://survivingaftercollege.com/
https://barenakedscam.com
http://aworkathomebusiness.com

I don't keep tabs on every WA website, but I do know that these websites are doing well.
Reply
roblam Premium
Thanks for those links...they are definitely helpful. It's interesting that they all promote WA ultimately and all in the make money type of niche (or variation thereof).

Since they are all doing well, WA is really supporting many people's lives (it seems). The make money niche is definitely lucrative. WA is definitely doing well with all the affiliate army soldiers working for them!
Reply
affilicoach Premium
Those are only examples of WA type niche websites. There are other members and even the same members who are making money from different niches outside of the make money online niche. Just something to keep in mind.

Hi Frank,

I desperately need your assistance RE Lesson 1, under this Topic: Make Money With WordPress - Traffic Getting/Revenue Driving Forces

For the past 2 days or so, Ive been battling with my new website.
I am struggling to proceed beyond the All In One SEO Plug in, simply because the version used to guide us in the lesson is probably an older version or my Laptop is not well configured for that purpose. The page that follows after clicking "activate" is not the same as the one in the lesson, and it unfortunately takes me to a different direction/page

I hope you understand my frustration. Please help.
Reply

Hey Chester,

Sounds like they (All in SEO) have redirected the plugin to a different page. It should be okay if you have installed the All In One SEO plug in and not something else.

If you're in doubt then send me a screenshot of your installed plugins and I'll should be able to confirm it for you.

Hello,

I just did read through the first part of the beginner course and as I already read on the internet and in some books I need to choose a niche first and I already have seen tons of advices how to do so. From searching products in Clickbank, to analyzing quora and searchings trends, but I couldnt find a niche that suits me, maybe I'm just trying to be more perfect with my first website as I should, but I don't wanna waste money for a bad domain/niche ^^. Could you give me some advice? My interests are pretty much anything with computers, hardware, software, games and even programming. My thoughts on niches was Gaminggear, glutenfree cookbooks and camping tools. None of those I'm really happy with as I can't find good partner products/domains or I think there is too much competition. Getting help from someone who knows what he is doing is pretty much the reason I did registered here so if you could help me out with my first steps, especially finding niche this had be amazing.

I thought of solo female travellers, but plenty of times I travel with friends&family;.I would like to cover a variety of experiences than just solo female travellers. I have more niches in my belt ,but this is the one I wanna concentrate on and kick off the website with.

Hi Frank - I need help again. I have applied at three different affiliate networks and have been denied by all three. The only place that has accepted me is Amazon. I have created a logo that I want to place beside my page title but I don't know how to do that. I was wondering if you would look at my site and see if you can identify what I am doing wrong. My website is at http://plus-sizeapparel.com. In addition, I still can't get my page "jeans for teens to appear on my website. I got a message last night that said the page is invalid?" What's up with that? I don't mean to bother you so much, but I sure am getting frustrated?

No problem Pat.

Sometimes affiliate networks like to see a more established website, whereas some networks like Amazon are fine with it.

To change your Logo
Appearance -> Customize -> Site Identity -> Select Logo - Upload your logo.

I can see a page on your website that says "Jeans for Teens", but maybe you're referring to something else?

Thanks for inviting me in! I was looking for a site that explained how successful and happy consumers were with Vindale, and here I am 2 days later.

I have a question, but I would not want to take up any of your time when I know that there are more pressing needs from others within your network.

I will simply ask you the question and hope that you can direct me to just a name within your network who might have posed the same question to you previously.

I have had previous experience with Affiliate marketing through Camazon and others like it. I also have brief experience with Adwords, as I have them on my business website now. However, I am taking the training and starting from scratch as if I have no experience in anything.

My question is: I want to start doing the affiliate marketing through the bootcamp. And as soon as I get that rolling I want to go to my already chosen niche. I want to know if that is a bad route to try to accomplish in my first 7 days? Or should I go to my niche, put in time on that, and then worry about the affiliate marketing later?

Please direct me to someone who can help me in that area of question.

Thank you again for this tremendous opportunity!

Yep, worry about affiliate bootcamp later.

Hi Frank,

I've been checking out programs like MOBE and My Dot Com Business Dot Com. The testimonials coming from their affiliates sound so convincing and the products they're selling sound pretty good (products like "Local Marketing Hack" and Pay Per Click Tsunami). On the other hand, I've seen a couple of negative ads about these companies that seem to be coming from WA members because at the end of the article a pitch is made to join WA instead.

I'm a bit confused at this point and not sure what direction to go in. Are WA members just bashing these companies to get people to join WA?

Please advise.

Hey Victor,

I can't speak for other members because I don't know what they're thinking or what knowledge or experience they have with the programs.

All I can tell you is my own experience. I have personally tried the programs you mentioned above, and whilst they may have some good elements to them, WA in my opinion is better value for money.

If you're unsure about what to do, then try them for yourself and then you can form your own opinion on them. You should already have a good idea of what to expect from WA with the free lessons and community interaction, so it's up to you.

Will the Premium package in WA allow me to access more site building template and has many free plug-ins for me to install? Hope to hear from you. Thank you.

Hi Lin,

My recommendation is to go with Wordpress, primarily because the lessons are created with this CMS in mind. Wordpress is widely used also so tere are a lot of plugin functionality available and help whenever you need it.

The SEO effect using Wordpress has been proven to be very effective in the search engines, so you won't go wrong there.

The premium member will allow you to access hundreds of premium templates for free, so it is worth sticking with Wordpress.

Hope that helps Lin.

In that opening you said that YOU worked the Empowr program and made some money with it, right? I have been reading Kyle's posts about scams. Is the Empowr program a scam to avoid or is it just that you have to devote so much effort into it that it's hard to reach any decent cash out there.

The biggest problem I saw with Empower Network is that in order for a newbie to reach a decent amount of income you had to buy all of the products, which at the time was over $5000. I think it's more now.

It's a continual up sell where you don't get the information you need until you upgrade to multiple levels.

Where as programs like WA gives you everything for less than $50 per month.

If it wouldn't be to much trouble for you I was interested on getting feedback on my first niche. The only problem with it right now is I am not exactly sure how it is going to turn into revenue. The niche i want to work on is a blog about getting into computer science for free online by taking free courses offered by MIT. I have zero experience in computer science right now so showing how to start from scratch and showing the answers to problems I ran into along the way seems like a worth while goal. I just don't know how free courses will turn into revenue beyond internet traffic because i am not exactly selling a product. Your input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
William Brightside

To be honest William, I'm not sure how you would turn your current idea into a business either, UNLESS you were getting paid from MIT to sign people up to their free online course.

But remember the audience that you will be creating will be interested in other products too, that are related to computer science, so you could maybe sell them products that are in line with that.

For example, laptops for students, programming books, network books, etc etc. So do a bit more research there.

Work with a few niche ideas, and sub niche them down. That way you will be able to get a clearer picture of the group of people you want to focus on.

I developed an exercise that might help you to clarify the direction of your niche.

Well I do have two other niche ideas that come from hobbies, the computer science one is one I want to pursue because that is where I want to build my carrer. For carrer building and also because that sounds like a niche no one else has really pursuing as far as free education goes. Thank you for turning me in the direction of laptops, computer parts and other computer accessories, that is something people will need to buy in order to pursue computer science as a carrer.

The other two niches are simpler to state, I have a passion for manga (japanese comic books) I would be interested in reviewing series and promoting physical and digital copies for amazon and try and stir up interest is a kindle specificly for manga that as of right now is only avalible in japan. As of right now there is a huge online presence for manga of translators and typesetters with a passion for manga that release scanlated chapters. The secould idea is updated reviews of video games for dlc, have you heard of the disaster of the game No Man's Sky? Well they released an update recently and have plans for more, most sites will never update their reviews so most people won't know when games with large dlc updates are actually good compared to the base game Diablo 3 made some amazing updates that made the game infinitely better more and more games will have similar experiences so those are two other niches I was thinking about.

Thanks in advance,
William Brightside

Yep, those other two niches sound like good places to start doing some research around. Sounds like you have quite a bit of knowledge in those areas as well, which should help you to clearly identify the "wants" and "needs" of the group of people you'll be targeting.

Hi Jess,

Great to have you in WA and thanks for your kind words.

The best advice I can give you is to consistently perform the tasks on a daily basis that will bring you the most success in this business.

You'll get a detailed understanding of what this is as you go through the lessons, but in short, it is keyword research and content creation.

These tasks are like weight training for a bodybuilder, running for a track star, ball handling and shooting for a basketball player.

These are the fundamentals of this business and with consistency comes success.

Hope that helps.

Hello Frank, great to hear from you! After following your advise about creating a list of things I like, things that I think are cool, but don't know much about, and things that frustrate me; I've chosen DSLR Camera's as my niche. I've done a little bit of photography, and I know my DSLR camera pretty well, but I'm still new to photography and I don't know a lot about cameras in general. For my first website, I wish to provide valuable information to people wanting to purchase a camera, but I know very little about them. What can I do?

Thank you for your help!

The only thing you can do is to research your niche and learn more about it. If you're interested enough in the niche then it will be interesting for you and a very natural process.

You need to understand the thought process of the people who buy DSLR cameras as this will help you to convert visitors into sales.

You may also need to go up a level and break your niche down into sub niches. Doing so will help you to get an appreciation for the content direction of your website and other content opportunities within your chosen niche.

I developed an exercise that might help you to clarify the direction of your niche.

The niche I picked is organic food. The domain name that I more or less settled on is NaturalOrganicFoodforLife.com.

I wanted the "natural" in it so that I could be clever with the title of my first blog post - "Your Food Should Come Naturally." Am I making any mistakes from what I've said here?

Hi Frank One question about key words. I have registered with Jaaxy as directed here and put in some keywords. But how does it know which website they need to associating the keyword with. When I log in I have saved list but no site to connect it to. Thanks in advance for all your great help.
Reply
affilicoach Premium
Hey Dalip,

Jaaxy just finds keywords that you might be able to rank for in the search engines. How you go about using that keyword is up to you.

It can be used to register a domain name for your website, for example yourkeyword.com or you can use it to create posts (content) on your website and rank individual posts.

The way you do this is to use them is to write posts that are based on the keyword phrase. That content will then (overtime) rank for that keyword, which will then bring you visitors who type that keyword into the search engines.

All of this is covered in the proceeding lessons.

Hope that helps.

I need your advice already lol. I'm buying a domain name and my niche is going to be Anti Ageing Skin Care (products and treatments if I can compliment both). Is it best to buy as short domain as possible like: yourantiagingpro.com

or shall I implement skincare in it as well like:

You're welcome Stina.

And yes, you are correct about keyword targeted domain names.

Targeting a keyword phrase domain can be useful for mini niche websites, however, ultimately, you want your website to rank for multiple keyword phrases, which means that you'd be building a brand instead of a mini website.

In the past, I used to be an affiliate selling informational products relating to overcoming depression. There's lots of these types of affiliate programs online and it can not only help a lot of people, but be very lucrative given your background.

I also used to be an affiliate selling "Parenting For Autistic Kids" ebook which is a book designed to help parents deal with issues relating to their child.

My name is Ashley and I just started here on WA last week and the information overload is real. I originally wanted to go into the self-esteem on appearance niche but it seems as if it would be hard to make a profit on it. My other option was to go into the memory improvement niche but I'm still lost on how to write a blog and if I have to keep up with it every week. So finally I've decided on joining the affiliate bootcamp. Will I still be able to make as much as I would if it was my own blog? I have the potential and drive to make this work and I am willing to work as hard as I should to reach my financial goals.

What do you think? Is that how you would go about it?

There's no real one on one coaching with Wordpress themes as each theme is unique and and developed by a third party software developer.

Each theme has a pre-configured comment block which comes with the design of the theme, so there's really no changing it unless you know how to code in CSS. But you can always select a new theme that is more conducive to the design you're looking for.

Hopefully, I've understood you correctly, when you talk about comment block.

If not let me know.

Hi Frank, I have been offline for a few days while helping my daughter's family as they moved through the successful birth of my 9th grandchild. Now I am starting back up and find that a domain that I was transferring to WA is threatened with removal before the process is complete. Here is what I am seeing from WA.

The following domain has webspace at WA that is pending removal. In order to use WA hosting, you need to have your DNS pointed to our servers:
Primary: ns1.mywahosting.com
Secondary: ns2.mywahosting.com
Please update your nameservers to point to our servers as your domain is scheduled to be removed in 7 days.
Domain Name Scheduled Removal
timbyersconsulting.com Aug 1, 2016 I can find no place to redirect the dns of a domain stuck in the transfer process. I have reached out to support and to the community but no response from support and the community tells me that they Know if must be done and that there videos to watch but none address a domain that is waiting for transfer to be complete. Thanks

Hi Timothy,

You have to go to the place where your domain name is registered and change the dns names there.

From doing a whois on your domain name it looks like ASCIO TECHNOLOGIES http://www.ascio.com is the registrar of the domain name. Which would be similar to other registrars like namecheap, godaddy or dynadot.
Reply
timtbat Premium
Why on a domain transfer, that has not happened according to Site Rubix, would I be threatened with removal of the domain that has not been transferred. When the domain transfer is effective, August 3rd, then it would seem there is no issue with dns pointers. Is this correct and doesn't the system recognize that they are dealing with a domain transfer that makes me pursuing Ascio Technologies, who I have never dealt with, to redirect the dns?
Reply
timtbat Premium
Thanks for the reply and as my previous email show I am confused about the process of domain transfer. I do appreciate your help in understanding but am finding that this is taking time that could be spent in other areas of my learning curve. One benefit is I am learning where to go in the WA system for help. I don't know if others find the path confusing but I do. Knowing when something will go to the support desk and when it will go to the community lacks clarity for me. What is clear is that there is a great responsiveness to questions within the community and I have to learn how to get through to the support desk on appropriate questions.

Hi Tim,

All I can tell you is what I am seeing in the whois information online.

Okay, so bear with me as I jot down some information.

This might seem like a running commentary, of my findings ...

Your dns name servers are NOT pointing to the WA name servers which is why you're getting the message.

http://screencast.com/t/1sOB8U1Gu

You may not have dealt with this company (ASCIO) before, but it appears that they are the registrar of your domain name as shown above.

The technical details of your domain name show Simplesite, who I suspect registered the domain name for you through ASCIO as shown below.

http://screencast.com/t/mYoiTYPCq

Okay, so digging further, they (Simplesite) disclose this on their privacy policy page here under "Third Party Disclosure".

http://www.simplesite.com/pages/privacy-policy.aspx

So this appears to be the case.

So to fix the problem.

This does not require a domain transfer, but a simply change in the name servers.

If you're no longer with Simplesite, then you really should have control over the domain name, in terms of being able to change the name servers yourself (in the long term).

In the short term you will need to contact Simplesite and ask that they make the change for you.

Just ask them to change your name servers as shown below and you should be good to go.

Primary: ns1.mywahosting.com
Secondary: ns2.mywahosting.com

If you have already done this, then wait for the change to take place.

It should only take 24 - 48 max (once the change has been implemented) for the name servers to propagate.

Let me know how you get on.

Hi Frank, thanks for touching base. May I know if I join the affiliate bootcamp, would it be too competitive since so many others are doing the same? How much do I need to spend on traffic and normally what is the opt out rate like after people joins WA through those websites?

William

Most folks think that competition is bad, but competition means that people are making money in it, otherwise it wouldn't be so competitive.

However, what most new people do is follow the path that everyone else following, which ultimately leads to saturation.

So the simple solution is to take the road less traveled, which you'll find out how to do in the premium membership.

You don't have to spend any money on traffic if it doesn't fit your budget.

Hi Frank, thank you for your advice.

I understand that a starter member only enjoys half the payout for each WA sale made, until a premium membership is bought.

May I know if the payout for all existing recurring WA sale will automatically double once a starter member turns premium?

example, if I made 2 WA sales who stuck around for 3 months, and I decide to buy the premium membership in 2nd month, would the 2 sales in 3rd month earn me $22.5 x 2=$45?

I'm on a tight budget and I understand that sometimes result takes 4-5 months to show, so I would like to join as a premium when there are enough recurring income to breakeven with the monthly subscription fee.

Appreciate if you could advise. Thanks!

Good question William,

Whilst the logic of what you want to do makes sense, the reality is, it doesn't work.

In my experience people don't become premium members, if you're not a premium member yourself, which kinda makes sense - if you think about it?

When I first started with WA, I took your route, and whilst, I got people signing up for the free membership, no one become a premium member until I become a premium member myself.

If you've got the money, my advice would be to back yourself 100% and go for it. There are a lot of people making money with what is taught here in WA, so the blueprint is sound.

So it really just comes down to how much faith you have in your own abilities.

How much business expenses will I be spending to make sa $500 a month ? Look forward to your reply or who ever else might have an idea thanks

To make that amount of money monthly, you should consider upgrading to the WA premium membership which is $19 first month and then $49 per month thereafter for as long as you're a member.

You will also need to buy a domain name which can range between $10 - $15 bucks and you'll also need to have a decent keyword research tool, which you get access to in the premium membership or you can upgrade to Jaaxy (a more powerful keyword tool) which is around $20 per month.

Having said that, you can start off free and then decide where you want to go from there.

Hope that helps Glenn.

Hi Frank thanks for your reply. So it's $49 for the membership fee $15 a month for the domain and $20 per month for the key word search tool? So that's about $84 a month what about per click costs or is there any? And how much time to generate $500 a month just an estimation would be helpful. I'm just going by if in start a mowing business I need a truck ramp gate mower weed whacked blower costing around $10,000. So I'm just trying to wrap my head around my start up costs and monthly expenses. Please be up front let me.know what I'm realistically look at.

Hey Glenn,

The WA membership fee is $49 per month.

Domain name is a one off payment of $15 - renewed once a year.

Keyword tool is $20 per month.

Those costs are the essentials.

How fast you generate $500 a month depends on the niche you pick, how much work you are willing to put into your business, how fast you learn and what you implement as a result. I know of someone who I referred to WA who has replaced her part-time job in 6 months as a result of the training.

I don't know how it will play out for you because I don't know you, but you will have one thing in common with her and that is you'll have access to the road map to make it possible.

Hello, I randomly found your website when I was looking for something else. I had joined MCA in August and I just now saw your review, but I wish I had seen it then. I have been through some of their training but since I am such a newbie to all of this, I have been very slow to start with them.....I hope I have better luck with WA. So far I am impressed with what I have seen! Thank you
