A Helping Hand - Embedding Youtube Videos

This is an issue that has plagued me for weeks and I' have been struggling to figure out how to do it properly.
For those of you that don't know, it helps a lot to have a video in your articles. If the content is similar, you can use another person's video, but make sure to give them credit.
However, this might get you into some trouble if you aren't careful. When sharing a YouTube video on your website, it would be in your best interest to use one that has in the description;
"Creative Commons, reuse allowed". I shy away from any videos that do not say that. To make it easier, you can go ahead and filter out any videos that don't have the creative commons tag on it. Unfortunately, depending on your niche, your options may be limited, but legal.
Anyway, I'm not here to talk about how to do it, if you want a quick lesson you may go here

What I'm talking about is how this didn't work for me at all. I followed the instructions exactly, my video even showed up in word press. When hit preview, the video did not appear on my article at all.

No one was able to explain why. After a few weeks, I decided to have another go at embedding videos. This time, I figured "What if the video is already on my computer? Would that work?"
For those of you that don't know, here is some information that was useful to me. It might be easier to save YouTube videos to your Computer first before moving on. To do that go here
Find the YouTube video you want, copy the link, then put the link in the search bar when you go back to youtubemp4 website. It will ask you for different quality options such as 720p 320p and so forth.
I just pick the second one because the first option takes too many megabytes and your video will be too big to load. If you don't pick a destination, it will end up in "downloads" for Microsoft users, I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with Macs for those of you that have one.
Now you have a saved YouTube video on your computer! This will make things a lot easier in the future.
Anyway, when I finished writing my article, I went to edit in word press and instead doing the whole YouTube embedding route, I clicked "add media". The video was already on my desktop so all I had to do was upload in the section of the article I wanted.
Yay! it finally worked! The video finally showed up on my article when I published it. I don't know why it had to be such an ordeal, but as I always say; "nothing worth doing is ever easy."
With that being said, I'm still having trouble getting it to work consistently, but at least I know I'm going in the right direction.
I hope this helps the lot of you.
If any of you are trying this please let me know of your success and failures
