The Cons of being short
Hello there everyone. Today I am going to go over about the cons of being short. This is just for fun but it may sound a little sad to some. Being short isn't such a bad thing. If you haven't read my previous blog about the benefits of being short. You should read it.
I think what we short people want most is to be treated fairly. LOL Some day we will rule the world. :P Anyways enought chit chat lets go over the cons:
- Slim chaces of a modelling career. (Really now, maybe I should start a business, modeling for short people, tall people not allowed, How do you like that! LOL)
- People that are oblivious to the fact you are standing up. (well I'm not super short, so I never had that problem, but I feel for the others).
- Clothing issues (Sometimes I do have a hard time finding the right jean size and belt size).
- Not being able to see through a crowd. (I can sometimes relate).
- Short people are typically less successful. (Hey! Wait just a minute!)
- Get discriminated against (yes, some companies especially higher end places want to higher tall handsome people to accomadate those rich.......whatever that means....)
- Poor perfomance (I'll show you poor performance, just because we may not be as strong or that good in sports....well I'm not going to fit in your box...well actually I might literally and you could use me as a weight).
- Difficulty finding a mate (Yes it's very difficult, some men don't want super short women or even short men, and some women don't want a short men or short women...)
- We are more likely to be an easy target (bullies, criminals,, just aim for their weak spots...bite if you have too)
- Resting female dog face mixed with the height issue equals angry child( well, maybe if you tall humans were nice to us we wouldn't be so angry and beating on people)
- No one takes you seriously when you're angry. (I can easily relate, I get laughed at and it just keeps escalating, but if they mess with a taller person or someone their height they get scared and all quiet)
- Being the classic arm rest or being pat on the head(I swear I will........Nevermind.)
If there is more you will like to add to this feel free to comment below. These are just the cons of being short... But hey, there's always going to be a con for everything so don't feel so bad. We shortlings have many benefits too. Also, I speak for the public. XD

What’s between your ears is more important than your height. Also personality, well mannered, smiles a lot, positive influences & attitude, positive & not negative, good disposition to name a few. If you have those traits, people will not measure you by your height. It didn’t slow slow down Tom Cruise &many; others that are all shorter than you. Stop burying yourself and start writing. Use your head & forget about your height!
I understand what you’re saying. This is just fun and games. I’m not degrading myself or any other shortlings. Lol I guess can l come off as a little negative, and I can be too outspoken to the point that it’s tmi.

Hahaha! I love this list. Trying being short and painfully shy (though come to think of it, being short may have been an advantage because no one expected anything of me, except my mom and dad) So being overlooked was kind of blessing back then.
I would have to say the biggest disadvantage for me is not being able to reach things; having to stand on shelves or chairs. I worked as a morning stocker for eleven years and I often wished I could be taller just for the 4-5 hours I was working. And then again for the three hours I worked in the high school kitchen.
As a child, playing Red Rover was awful.
I really never connected my being short with some of the things you listed like not being taken seriously or a reason I would be less successful. Who knew?
I always thought some short people overcompensated for their shortness. I worked with a guy who was short and had an answer for everything. And always told jokes and had to be funny all the time. He also went out of his way to be helpful and then bragged about it (though he would disagree he was bragging). And I thought is was because he was short and felt like he had to prove himself. But maybe I was being unfair and judgmental.
Do short people tend to be more judgmental? I hope not.
Not being to see over the person in front of me when sitting or standing can get annoying at times.
Thank goodness my husband (who is tall) liked short women!

Lol this is all just fun and games. I find that being on the short side is a blessing. I don’t think we are more judgemental. We are all human. The guy kinda sounds like me. I think the reason why he always wanting to prove himself because people probably assumed the worst about him or maybe spread a nasty rumor or it could probably just be his personality. 😊
Sometimes it’s best to not care what people think and you definitely don’t need to explain yourself.
Oh yes, trying to see around taller people can be a pain. Just like if I’m driving my small car I can’t see what’s in front of the SUV in front of me… like okay I’m going to give myself extra space, I don’t care if the person behind me gets mad. Lol

Haha, yep! I used to be the one in the small car but now I'm the one in the SUV. Darn it, though, I still can't see over the truck.
The guy I was referring to above drove me crazy when he first started because we worked so closely together. I told him all the time that he made me crazy. But he was such a good sport and never gave up on me. In the end, we became good friends. If I had to guess, most likely it was just his personality. When I go back in to visit, he's one of my favorite people to see.
If you are like him, I'm sure eventually you and I would get along great :)
