Reviewing My Reviews
Hello WA Friends!
Ad Campaign
Wow What a week, It is already Monday and I already feel completely wiped out. Why? well I will get there. First things first, my goal for the week, (actually for last week) is to start a digital marketing campaign to drive traffic to my review pages.
I am extremely nervous about this for obvious reasons. First off, it costs money, money I don't have lot of and I don't want to waste! I have made some ad images and texts, so what's the problem? It's my reviews. I only have about 5 reviews on my website and I am not sure if they look "professional" enough. I am not a wordpress wizard, and I think they look OK after much struggling to add the images and buttons and stuff. However, I don't know if OK is good enough to convert traffic into sales at a profitable conversion rate!
Falling Behind on Goals
So why am I so behind on work, frustrated and exhausted? My son turned 9 years old this week! Of course, I wanted him to have a great time. Due to family members and friends schedules we decided to do 2 parties, one on Tuesday, (his actual birthday), mainly with family members and one on Sunday after church at Chuck E' Cheese with his friends from church.
Even with my wife's help, running around after my 9 year old boy and 4 year old girl at 2 different parties, plus hosting several people and their kids, was exhausting. Not to mention getting my school work done too! The worst part is SOMEONE STOLE MY PHONE yesterday as I was taking party things back to the car at the Chuck E' Cheese! That is the last thing I needed as I had irreplaceable pictures of my kids on there. Not to mention business notes and phone numbers of business contacts too :( .
So losing my phone was just the icing on the cake after a bad week. I loved that my son had a great birthday week, however for me it was a week of falling further and further behind on my goals. Luckily I got my schoolwork done, but just barely! (I took my midterm at 9PM last night.)
Goals;
To comment on other peoples blogs here that commented on my last blog.- still not done.
Another goal is to post a blog on Saturday - just now doing it on Monday.
Post 30 comments a week - Only did 8 last week.
3 blog posts on website - Only published 2
Start ad campaigns - too uncertain of review pages to start.
Implement website recommendations from WA members - Implemented 1 of about 10 different suggestions.
Reviewing Reviews
When I started on my 3rd blog post last week for a certain group of products, I completed most of it and then realized there is enough products in that category to make 5 other review pages. However, as I mentioned I just don't feel like my review pages "look good" enough, so I was nervous about publishing more yet. I am not sure if I need a review plugin, or a different more proffesional theme, or they are perfectly fine and I am just paranoid!
I really hate asking for help when there are already mountains of advice and training here, but after an exhausting and demoralizing week I am asking for help. I need people, that know what they are doing affiliate wise, to check out my website "reviews" category, and let me know if you think they look good enough to start sending traffic to. Otherwise, I am just throwing money away on a useless ad campaign!
I don't like asking for anything without offering anything return of course. After I begin the ad campaign, I hope to help out the community here by posting all the details of the cost, ad creation, and the results here on my WA blogs. Even if it ends up being an embarrassing disaster and failure, hopefully at the very least someone can learn from it. And if it is a success (as I hope it will be), that should be even better for the community.
Thanks for reading my Blog post, as a reward, here is a picture my wife took of me at my son's birthday party. I was exhausted, behind on schoolwork and business work, and waiting to leave, and my kids still wanted to stay and play more games! My wife apparently found it hilarious enough though!
(None of the stuff I am holding, including the giant soda, is mine!)
Wishing you all the best,
Jeremy.

At this point, Jeremy, all I can offer you is my prayers for a more successful week...and that your cell phone shows up.
I am certainly not the one to advise on sites and posts yet but I do know that a good capture page is a must if you are going to do any advertising at all. The only way you can follow up.
Going to school, raising children, supporting a family. Been there and done that and one thing I can tell you for certain from my past experiences: Prayer is a powerful tool.

Well, Jeremy, such are the travails we must face when we are in business for ourselves, my friend! Sorry for you being behind, sorry for your phone being stolen especially, but, please try and remember--setbacks happen all of the time in business!
I'm in my 31st year of self employment, and they are still occurring periodically! Drive on! Persevere!
At the end of the day, you will be really glad that you did, my friend!
You are doing GREAT! Please remember that!
Jeff
You're very welcome, Jeremy! Keep doing what you do, my friend! WA will still be there after you've had time with the kids, my friend!

Hello Lisa, (wow 2 Lisa's commented lol!) thank you for reading! I was told we could not list sites in the blogs but my wordpress site is on my profile page! Then on the right of the site is a "Category" Menu and one of the categories is reviews.

I thought your reviews were very well written.
If you can try and get hold of either VialiyG Or Freebird2112 they are very well versed in running ads and will be able to advise you.
Just PM them.

I don't have the expertise to help, Jeremy, but I *do* remember an outstanding poem you may want to read and maybe even keep on hand. I looked it up to make sure I pass it on to you correctly!
You've got this, Jeremy!---Margaret
Don't Quit (by Unknown Author)
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
