Still Peddling… and Facebook love/hate

Hey all,

I've been a little vacant on here of late; I've been putting my time into my site at instead.

I've finished level 4 of the training (somewhat) but I think I need to go back over it to fully complete the tasks there.

I signed up for Facebook as recommended but deleted my account after 4 days after being bombarded with friend requests (ok… maybe not bombarded, but the ones who requested were the more active social media guys) and overwhelmed with 'stuff' and 'things' they were constantly sharing.

Has anyone else found this?

I mean, everyone seems to talk about the nuisances and hates of Facebook… is it really necessary?

Could I just have a Twitter, Goggle+ and Pinterest account?

If not, is refusing friends hurtful or do I just go with the 'share-only' mode?

From what I understand, you have a Personal account (It's a bit annoying it has to be your personal name too!) and from there you can have pages for your site or business. I am more interested in sharing and growing a page dedicated to my business than a personal account……. Am I making any sense??

Please don't think I'm antisocial either; despite my somewhat hermit nature I do like talking and seeing my friends… but I'm just not comfortable in this 'cyber cafe' with them all. I'm happy networking and growing in a community regarding certain interests… but am not that fussed about hearing what my acquaintances-turned-friends did on the weekend (unless it's in a real conversation that we both can give and grow from.

I was wondering if anyone else had signed up to Facebook purely for their website during these trainings.

Also, I just wanted to say 'hey' to all as I realise it's been pretty quiet on the Clay line lately!

Blessings

Thank you CarlaIeves! I should of come here for my answers first!

I've been on FB for years so it doesn't bother me. However, although you must have a personal profile to have a biz page, you CAN convert your profile into a business page. Here's the rulebook on that: https://www.facebook.com/help/116067818477568
