Just heard that you can only set a page to be a homepage. What if I want my product category to show in homepage, how to set it? Or what page should I create?
Now, I was able to put All Products as my static page, but the problem is, my thumbnails are in Product Category which I cannot see it in static page to choose from. What should I do?
My product thumbnails are not showing in my static page.
Heidi, hi again.
1) Could you send me the URL of the domain where you have set the static page to the home page?
2) Also I would like to see the URL of that page (not the site), but the actual address of the page. I'd like to compare the two.
What you saw on your product page before you set it as static, should be exactly what you see on the page after you set it as your static home page.
It sounds like maybe you just need to edit your all products page so that you can choose that category from a link or from the sidebar or from a menu. Does this sound about right? Or do you believe it's something else.
Heidi, if you wouldn't mind, please reply to my response with the reply button below the comment. Otherwise I won't see it in my feed. I just happened to see this one in the main dashboard. :-) Thanks! That will help me help you.

p.s. If you would rather not post the URLs here, send them to me in a PM instead. I can then better visualize the problem.
Thanks for your help! Yes, I would love to send it to you but where can I see the URL of my website? Is it I click on my Setting >>> Reading and send you the link? Or which one? Can you give me instructions? It's my first time to build my own website.
Thanks for your help!
Where can I find the URL for my static page to homepage? Any instruction?
Not sure if this is the one you're referring?
Homepage: http://ilovejewelries.com/
Static Page: http://ilovejewelries.com/product-category/all-products/
If not these, can you tell me where can I find the URLs?
Yes, these are the ones, Heidi. I have replied to your PM, so I'll help you work it out from there. :)

I tried to follow the same instructions but still when I go to my website, it doesn't bring me to the static Product Page. Do you think there is problem with the theme? Can I change it through CSS?
Not through CSS. CSS only changes the styles on a page, not which page is chosen.
Is your product page published and not in draft mode? And is it marked "public" and not "private". Double check all that in the page editor, or quick edit mode, just in case.
So you selected your Product Page from either the page or the post menu, to make it a static home page (like the tutorial posted by Pearl mentioned)?
Be sure to SAVE the settings. That's important, but easy to miss sometimes, because the button might be out of sight. (At least easy for me to miss :)
After that, do this: empty your browser cache a couple of times. Some browsers are especially anxious to keep page views in your cache. After emptying it a couple of times, go back to your dashboard and "visit" the site. Refresh the page, if it still doesn't show up.
After all of that, If it still doesn't show up, you will probably want to repeat the steps in the tutorial, save, empty cache again, and see if it works.
Hope this helps, Heidi.

p.s. As long as your "Product Page" is actually published, and not just a draft; and it's marked "public" and not private, and you can see it in preview mode or just visiting your site, then you should be able to set it as your static home page.
If you want to do that, place your product category in a static page and make that page your static home page.

Can anyone help? Why does my thumbnails for products are not showing? I am using the latest version of Wordpress 4.5.2. Here is my website: www.ilovejewelries.com
I finally figured out how!
I missed adding a Shop Product Category and All Product Category, that's why the thumbnails didn't show up in these 2 pages.
Usually, this is a function of the "Featured Image" - when creating the post for each product - in the right margin of the Post Editor is a Featured Image option. Upload an image there.
I am uploading products under Woocommerce. Where else should I update my products? I am not using the post.
Did you look at the image source? Maybe the image source tags are pointing to an invalid source/image url.

Do we need to buy a domain name or website in wordpress?
For every site we write do we need to buy a domain?or is enough only one domain?I bought a domain and I wrote one site and I'm thinking to write the second site.
If you are working from two entirely different subjects, you'll do better to separate them into two different sites. However, if you are providing information on two different factions that complement one another and enhance your overall subject, you can create different categories on your single site so that all of your pages can work synergistically. The important thing is that it all works together and does not create confusion. You cannot market a brand well if your readers do not understand your purpose.
You would need to buy your domain at some of the domain registrar companies out there like go daddy, name cheap and I myself buy from cosmotown. The website in wordpress is actually hosting. Depending on whether you are premium or starter you can have your website and domain free if you go with siterubix as a starter member. If you go premium you would only have to worry about your domain. Hope this helps. Happy New Year!
GoDaddy is also good... If you type "Godaddy 99 coupon" in google, you can get a domain for $0.99.
Site Rubrix is probably your best best to get some free practice, though.
You can use a Free Site Rubix and won't need your own domain. If you want your own domain, most people use NameCheap. They are excellent and have good customer service. You can usually find a coupon code too.
