I have a question about pictures and copyright. if i put pictures on my website from say, google images, is that legal or are there copyright infringements?

If you open an image from Google images. it says: mages may be subject to copyright. It is not a good idea to use them.
As Craig said, rather use the images from SiteContent. You will also find other sites where you can download images from for free. Search for that on Google.
