Knowing The WHY!
The process for learning to love the choices that we make in our journey through life, is a great skill to acquire and retain. Life is like dancing. When you dance, your purpose is not to present yourself to others, or to get on the floor to impress others, but rather to enjoy each step as your body takes form to the music that you flow with. Just as you move and enjoy every step of a dance move, so should you enjoy every step in progress that you make in the journey through life. You do so by knowing your purpose, and by understanding the “WHY”.
- Everyone wants to be admired.
- Everyone wants to be financially independent.
- Everyone wants to be popular.
- Everyone wants to be respected.
- Everyone wants to fall in love and have amazing sex and relationships.
- Everyone wants to have an amazing job.
- Everyone wants to have what feels good.
- Everyone wants to live carefree, easy and happy life.
- Everyone wants to look perfect.
- Everyone wants to make money.
- Everyone wants to survive.
- Everyone wants to thrive.
Everyone wants that. It’s very easy to like that.
Not everyone will make the sacrifices necessary to accomplish their desires. Not everyone will suffer through 60-80 hour work weeks. Not everyone will endure long commutes. Not everyone will be able to manage tedious paperwork. Not everyone can navigate arbitrary corporate hierarchies. Not everyone can remand blasé confined to an infinite cubicle city. People want to be rich, without the Risk, and without the sacrifice, and without the delayed gratification necessary to accumulate wealth and abundance in their life.
Everyone wants to have great sex and have a superb relationship, but not everyone is willing to suffer through the tough conversations, and the arguments, and the awkward silences, and the hurtful feelings, and the emotional psycho drama to get there. Everyone wants to have the positive, but never do they want to deal with the negative.
Your Journey. Your Rules.
Why are you embarking on your journey? Why do you embark on any journey in general? Why are you on a quest on what sets your soul on fire? Why? The most beautiful thing in the world is not just staying alive and surviving, but to find something to live for. Making life worth while. So, knowing the, “WHY”, is of utmost importance. When you do find the, “WHY”, write it in your heart. Make it an intention to visit it every day. Ensure that your actions and decisions daily are aligned with these intentions. You must be intentional in your own doing.
When this happens, wanting to learn daily becomes second nature. In your journey through life, you will learn and unlearn. In order to do this, you’ll need the help of those who have gone before you. To learn from those who are living their lives with purpose. Find them and shadow them. If you do exactly as those who have gone before you, you will repeat their results. If you take the right path, you’ll make progress that they have already accomplished.
In our journey through life, it’s not always going to be fine and dandy. There will be times when things can get a little tough. There are times when you will fail. If and when that time comes, you’ll have to remember that falling down is an accident but staying down is a choice. Be intentional. Failure is part of the growing process. The book, “Go for No”, is a prime example. A simple read that explains the negatives are milestones to great positives. In order to get to your positive, you’ll have to go through the gauntlet of possible negatives. Just know, that the very successful people failed their way to success.
I want to share a quote from my friend, Stephanie’s FaceBook page, that she posted earlier today, which gave me inspiration to write this post for the WA community.
“There were times I'd put just $10 worth of gas in my tank, while other times $50. I've had just $5 to feed myself and I've also had $200 to go out to eat. I’ve had a house full of food and I didn't have any. I’ve been in stores cashing out with no worries and I’ve also had to add it up and put things back on the shelf. I’ve paid my bills in full and I’ve had to pay it late, too. I’ve given money and I too have had to ask for it. We all have highs and lows in life, some certainly more than others, but we’re all just trying to make it. No one is better than anyone else, and my heart is sad for those who think that they are. No matter how big your house is, how new your car is, or how much money sits in your bank account - we all bleed red and will fade from this earth. Death has no discrimination neither should your life. The people who pretend they love you so much will leave you standing in all the storms just so they can shine. Be kind to others. We are all here to serve. Stop the power-tripping. Your over-sized ego won’t get you anywhere. And know that not everyone has the same heart as you.” Sourced, Facebook.
Many people have a negative relationship to failure. When you do fail, ask yourself, “what is this life experience trying to teach me”? Do not wallow in despair, which is not going to help you. Do not quit either, because that is when you've permanently failed. What you do is take the lessons and do it again. This time do it a little differently than the first. Failure is a growth process. When you fail, it is a good thing, because you’ll learn from it. You’ll improve on it. You’ll get better at it. As a matter of fact, the earlier you fail, the better. Now, while you’re in WA, this is the best time to fail. Fail early, and fail often, and fail forward. If you need the help getting back up, the WA community will help. Just ask.
Goal Setting. Aim For Your Target.
You can achieve anything in your life, if you set a goal and work towards it. You must believe in yourself and never quit. The days of struggle will define you. The quote from Martin Luther King Junior, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in the moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy”, is still one of my favorite quotes to date. Be positive, and live for positive. When life throws lemons at you, you take them and make lemonade.
Setting goals are important to set your intentions. Intend to set a 90 day goal. What do you want to accomplish in 90 days? In order to complete your 90 day goal, what do you have to get done within 60 days? In order to accomplish your 60 day goal, what do you have to do in 30 days? In order to accomplish your 30 day goal, what do you have to accomplish in 2 weeks? And so on. Reverse engineer your objectives and plan a goal for a week, two weeks, one month, two months, and three month mark.
Success! You Got This!
Your intentions will guide your actions. Having a clear intention will help filter out all the negative noise in your life. Setting goals is a constant reminder of your daily intentions. Pain and suffering are the building blocks to your success. I stand strong next to each and every one of you. To your success!

Thanks for the motivation, Aaron.
Yes, indeed. It is our goals, our journey and our rules. Being accountable is the first step to entrepreneurship.
You are running a business which you own and not answerable to someone else as in working in a job. That paradigm shift must take place in order to be successful.
To our success,
Stanley
You gave great insights, Stanley. Thank you.
