try this training Google verification in four easy steps its the same as google verification and hte same plugin can be used - so if you have headers and footers then use that

You can do it either way. However if you choose to add it to the index.html, it may get overwritten when your theme updates or you change themes.
You can use method 2 and it won't get overwritten. But, only if the site IS NOT a Site Rubix site.
Choose a free ftp software like CoreFtp. Login to your site using the credentials shown in your Website details. Copy the file you create to the http folder.
There are also some trainings on ftp if you search on WA.

I am writing posts for viewers to find lists. I am also writing full reviews on the topics of those lists. I would like to find two different banners. 1.) dir
To get more control over where you place elements on a page you could use a grid layout plugin like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/grids/ - check it out, see if it fits your needs... Doesn't hurt to play - you can always uninstall it if not :)
