No Time to Rest - Patience With Tenacity
As of yesterday I have maxed out every category in my site health rankings except for the "Trust Level". I have also burned through 5 1/2 of the courses. I will admit, I skipped a couple of "to do" items along the way but I did this on purpose which I'll explain. So now what do I do? Do I sit back and wait for my trust level to increase, maybe take a bit of a virtual vacation and catch up on some TV shows?
THE COURSES
First of all, I want to say that these courses are fantastic. I've learned more than enough to justify my Premium membership for the next 6 months without making a single penny of income. I consider the education I received easily equal to a 3-credit undergrad class in college which could cost upwards of $500-1000 depending on the school. This is what I was hoping for when I signed up for Premium and WA did not fail to deliver.
Now, I have a decent background in computers so the technical aspects of the courses were very easy for me to understand -- they were mostly just things I've never been exposed to but made perfect sense as I walked through the process and implemented the concepts. This is one thing that allowed me to burn through the courses as fast as I did.
The objectives that I skipped were usually "create a new post with blah blah blah". I'll catch those up eventually but I have what I consider a "video game" mentality. If there's a level I have to beat it, I have to advance. It drives me nuts knowing that I'm not "finished" yet.
My Thought Process
So, my justification for going through the lessons was to get this out of my mind so I can stop thinking about it and focus on my website. I would obsess over having unfinished levels and that would impact my writing. That's not to say I haven't added significant content to my site - I currently have 6 pages and 7 posts ranging from 500-1500 words each. One page still needs some work, but I'll have that done today.
I also focused on making sure that every aspect of the site health was as high as it could possibly be so that when Google finally starts trusting my site, it will find everything in top shape. This is also part of that "video game" mentality I talked about earlier. It's going to drive me nuts waiting for that trust level to increase but I can at least take solace knowing that there's nothing I can do but wait and add quality content.
Where From Here?
Over this next week I'll continue to push through the lessons and finish those. I've skimmed them already and most of it is stuff I've either already figured out or knew going in so it won't take long. I will also up my goal from one post per week to two. I have read on here that it takes at least a month for trust levels to increase so I have exactly 2 weeks before my site hits it's one month birthday. I hope to be fully monetized and making regular affiliate sales by the end of my third month.
Conclusion
I had a really sweet shout out typed up to some of the WA members who have helped and inspired me so far in my journey but when I went to add images to the blog that paragraph got eaten some how so I'll just close it out here, block text and all, and say THANK YOU. you all probably know who you are.

Yes, I think you might need to wait for the trust level to increase, just continue posting great content on the page. Let me know if I can do anything to help!
Thanks -- you've already done more than I could ask from any fellow member. Your ideas are next on my research list so I'll start that today. Rainy day and both kids have friends over so I might even get another post done today!
