Have You Head About The Digital Business Cards?
Hello everyone, just dropping a quick post about the digital business cards that are available these days. I am not an affiliate for any of them, but I did just get my Dot Classic and love it.
I found a deal for getting the Dot device for free on Facebook, and figured why the heck not! I signed up and let them know I was an affiliate marketer and they sent me the device of my choice for free. I could have chosen a wristband, a card (looks much like a credit/debit card), or a tag (looks much like an Apple Air Tag). I chose the tag and it is on my keychain.
I think this is such a fantastic idea, and maybe a little overdue. With traditional paper business cards, your card can end up anywhere, be dropped or thrown away, or simply tucked away in a wallet to never be seen again.
With a digital business card like the Dot card that I have, you will end up in their contacts on the device they carry daily. For me, this is huge!
I had no issues at all setting up my account or activating the Dot Classic tag. The information added to my profile is all information I would want to share with a customer, such as name, phone number, email, websites, and social links. You can choose not to share certain information, like if you feel you do not wish to have your phone number on the sharing list, simply do not add it. Essentially, you share what you add to your profile.
You can use the business card aspect for free, or you can choose to sign up for their service and network on their platform as well. So far, I am on the free plan, I feel I have plenty of networking platforms at the moment that are free to use.
I am curious to see if anyone else has tried either the Dot card or another digital business card and what your experience has been so far.
I look forward to hearing from this vast community.

Sounds like a great idea to me Stacie!
All the very best moving forward with this endeavour my friend! :-)

Hi Stacie!
Good topic! I have business associates who shared this with me.
You can create a QR Code tied to a digital business card and keep it on your smartphone to share with anyone while interacting with people.
Attached is some more info on how to do that.
Howard,
This has been the best business card I have had in years. There is one other that I use as well, this one is not a digital card, but an ink pen. I have several that I had ordered with my name, website address, and affiliate disclosure.
I just handed out a grip of them today, and have a bunch more requested for tomorrow. I work in a customer service call center and have been networking like mad over the past few days. I have many interested parties as well.

I have had a Dot Card for about 6 months now for my off line instructing business and absolutely love it. I may get a different one for my marketing business.
Thanks and Have a Great Day!

I felt the same way Karin, I had not heard of them either, but I figured everyone here may be interested, I am not sure if they are still offering a free device for affiliate marketers and influencers, but it is worth a shot for sure.

Sounds like a good idea, long overdue.
I agree, I can hardly believe it took so long to get digital business cards lol. We have had card readers for a long time, I am so shocked this was not marketed so much sooner.
