Let's Get Physical

With the virus caused sanctions on our daily ativities how many of you have been snacking too much and not getting enough exercise. Raise you hands My hand is raised as high as anybodys.

Since as of late I have only been leaving the house about every other day. Some leave even less. It's a positive that we have more time to work on our blogs and concentrate on learning things we don't know.

But it's still important to maintain some sort of physical activity. I stopped paying pickup basketball in my mid 40's but I am usually pretty active in some ways. There is always the fitness center where I work out a little and swim laps in the heated indoor lap pool.

The fitness center, as well as other clubs and just about everything but grocery stores ae shut down. I haven't played gold in years but I live by a park with a cours. I see people playing in small groups every time I drive by. Don''t know if they are open to charge greens fees and rent carts or if people just walk on and play. There is probably a course or two near you.


Tennis is a good workout for two people who won't be in too close physically contact so as to be social distancing irresonsible. Tennis was fun for me if I played somebody relatively equal to me in ability and skill It's no fun for either player if one of them is way better than the other. I suppose if nothing else you could hit balls against a wall by yourself




I used to play a lot of ping pong. I was very good and frequently played against other very good players. A game between two good players can give you quite a workout.



I still see people jogging on the road around a lake I live near. Big houses on one side, the lake on the other, speed limit 20 and it's not far from the university. I see people either by themselves or just two people either jogging or walking. Now some of them are wearing surgical masks.

I never liked to jog but it would do me good to walk there. Bicycle riding is more fun than jogging or walking and it's great exercise.

Some of you live near trails close to nature where if you are into hiking you aren't liikely to risk exposure.

If you have been neglecting your exercise get out and do something . Walking is something I can start doing tomorrow. And so can you. Nobody else is needed but you. And I can get my bicycle out of the strorage unit and ride. I lilke bike riding better than I like walking

Great post

I love the imagery. I'm starting to walk this weekend. My pants have got tighter. Putting on the kilo's while being isolated and having direct access to the fridge. Also walking for mental health is good. It keeps the happy chemicals operating properly. Thanks for the blog. Jen
