This is what my Original "About Me" looked like... Till I acknowledged that it was inappropriate...
Hi everyone... Welcome to my Blog... "Hey... Does It Work...?"
I have had a pretty colourful life which is now coming to the end of my 5th Decade of Existance... I have had my share of spills and thrills and all this add up to becoming the paint on my Life Canvas. Something that's coming out pretty abstract with no clear direction or theme at the moment I might add...
This drives me to ask a question... Is my Life the only one with such crude architecture...? Am I the "Chosen One" in a manner I would rather not be chosen as...? I hear and adhere that we don't really know what others are going through and true enough, we will not actually know what others are going through... Unless they share their stories with us... And this is the catch... Not many would share their stories with everyone.
I would like to change the monotony... I would like to promote a culture of open sharing and share my experience with anyone who wants to relate to them... I will of course spare you the "Gory Details" but I will share the more academic aspects of things with you.
A Little About My Trip Through The University Of Life...
I was born in the 70s to wonderful parents who guided and protected me during my early years till I attended "Boarding School". Then the real education began... Something I was not exactly prepared for but I am very proud to claim that I managed to negotiate the 1st 5 year Semester quite successfully. I picked up a lot of survival skills and became street smart during this 1st Semester which I utilize even till today at this day and age...
Then I attended University where I studied Food Technology. I played too much during my Pre-University Courses and ended up doing something I knew nothing about. But now, many years later... I found that it did not turn out so badly after all... I learnt a lot about the Food we take... How it needs to be... How it should not be... And a whole lot of interesting stuff... And they are all serving the greater good right now...
I began my Career in the Food Industry which interlaced with the Semi-Conductor Industry... Automotive Industry... Power Management Industry and so on... But I was blessed to be able to understand the Basic Concepts and Core Competencies of each Industry an being able to do this also means I can corelate all my experience, training, knowledge etc. into a potent package whcih I channeled into Projects Management. Since then... It has been Projects Management all the way...
You might be wondering... "Where Are Dips...?"...
Well... I have a very strict and uncompromising character... Which does not go down well with a lot of parties. I will not claim I am straight as an arrow and I clearly am not but I do prefer the Straight and Righteous rather than the Bent and the Crooked... And this worries a lot of people...
I discovered a long time ago that for me... There is no such thing as "Job Security"... I can explain this very simply with this Graphic...
When I started my Corporate Career... I saw this as my Corporate Path...
Then I accepted that this is probably more like it...
Then Finally... This is what I believe it actually is... The Space at the Top does not accommodate more than one... So for those who are not prepared to shove people off the Ladder... Would probably end up being Shoved off the Ladder themselves. Those in Power will not relinquish their Power for just about anyone and at anytime... They would hand-pick a successor to carry the mantle so that they themselves can be assured of some portion of the spoils... I ended up being shoved off the ladder more times that I care to remember... So then... How does this relate to you... You might ask...?
There is no such thing as Job Security... So you need to create your own Job Security... Residual Income... Passive Income... Something that continues to teackle you some income... Even when you main source is down and out...
What I intend to do for you is to share what I have done for myself that have brought me Peace of Mind... Maybe it can help you too...
Most people go to great lengths just keep the Experience Private... Keeping things Hushhhed... I advocate differently... I would like to share my experience with you... With the hope of it benefiting you at some point and maybe help you move along to the next...
I see myself as some one who have had a colourful life thus far... Full of ups and downs and I am ever thankful to God Almighty, my mother, my father and my family who have helped me become what I am today...
From an Academic Career Standpoint, I am a Food Technologist by Training and becoming a Content Expert in Food Manufacturing Operations as well as Product Development.
From a Personal Interests standpoint, I am a total believer that Every Challenge has a Solution... We are always better than we think we are... So never be afraid of Challenges... In any Form or Function... There is always a Solution... We just need to look for it... But rest assured that the Solution is Available...
From an Aspirations Standpoint, I like to apply all I know into becoming the Best Project Manager the World have ever seen... It is an aspiration that is Wild... But then... Why Target the Valleys when the Sky is the Limit... My Projects do not only include Economic Driven Projects... But also Life Projects...
In order to do this... I conduct extensive and in-depth evaluations of every option I come across and this Website is a sharing of my Experience...

Wow thats some journey and an interesting post, it made me think of a story I heard a few days ago, by a friend of mines son, who was a little disappointed that he hadn't got to college
His dad said the same thing I did, but because it was dad, it didn't go in!... But I said, You might not have got into college, but you have got free entry into the best University in the World, which will give you a fantastic what every you want
He looked at me like I was an idiot and said "Oh Yeah, I hadn't thought of that!"

I've never been sure about how appropriate it is to delve into a lengthy 'about me' post on my websites, but apparently people want to really get into these to know a person. It's definitely the norm!
Maybe I have some kind of odd character as I am not so interested in these life-stories as is perhaps expected in this industry :) I guess I rely on my intuition about people, rather more so than the histories of people. cheers Marc.

Yaaaaa... I felt the About Me part of our Websites is to share ourselves to our Niche... So as to foster some sort of connection so that we can been seen as Experts with enough Authority to provide an Honest Opinion about the Niche itself...
Well... I least I started out that way and then I realised it was fast turning into a rant... I saved it for publishing at a different avenue and re-wrote my About Page into something more cohesive and relevant...

.... we just don't know what genius may be hidden under that mushroom ...
... i've noted that most people in their senior years have yet to 'sing their song, or play their music or danced their dance or tell their story' before their time runs out ... so yes, it is vital to experience it all while one still has kick ...
... so there we have it ...

It hurts when you hit the ground from high up the Corporate Ladder... But the worst impact is to your Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence. You begin to doubt yourself... Where did I go wrong wrong be the one and only tune playing is your head... For me... It's been paying for the past 8 years and it is only getting louder.
Your judgement becomes clouded... You are no longer as sharp as you once were and more importantly as you need to be. You doubt yourself each and every step of the way... Everything... And you are always waiting for the next throw-off to happen again and again...
The first time I was thrown off... I was Audited 3 times and yet they couldn't find anything wrong... In the end, they made a new policy... unwritten policy at that... And I was the only one to pay the price... I bounced a few times when I hit the ground... As I hit it so hard... I lost everything that day... Including myself. I never fully recovered...
Anyway... That's another story to tell some time...

hey Dzul -- think of it as a 'learning' experience -- life is one long experiential learning journey --- ask yourself what did you learn from it? ... the major and minor 'take-aways' from it ...
it's tough when one tumbles off that corporate ladder -- however it was a 'virtual' existence to start with -- and does anyone there care about anything other than themselves?
from the sounds of it -- the company was obviously going through 'something' (audit - and no exec. wants those) -- so in order to shake off the sniffer dogs -- they had to throw someone under the bus so to speak ... well enough of that -- past is past and time to move onward & upward to success ....
you need to learn to be kind & patient with yourself first in order to 'heal' 'mend' from that experience ... start getting into a habit of doing something that you really enjoy for yourself each 'n every day ... and getting out into nature is the best healing possible -- for instance, simply spend 10 - 15 minutes for a walk whether through a forest or ocean-side ... water and trees are great inspirational elements and helps with healing ...
the next time we chat -- i would like to hear about one thing that you've done as a favour to yourself ... it's all ok!

I have found other means to take away the pain and I am blessed as I have WA now... That means a lot to me...
I take rides on my scooter daily now... Just for a spin around. My wife joined me over the past couple of days that she has been back but normally... I would take a quick ride around alone. Visits spots that bring awesome memories flooding back... And reduces the painful ones. It frees my mind and helps keep me in check... 😁
