YouTube in 2025 seems to be all about short-form content, AI-driven innovation, immersive experiences, and niche authenticity.

1. YouTube Shorts Dominance

2. AI-Assisted Content Creation
AI tools—from script assistants to auto-editing and thumbnail testing—are revolutionizing YouTube (vidiq.com, novexahub.com). Many channels use AI to generate videos and captions, though YouTube requires transparency to avoid misuse (vidiq.com).

Two of my favorites are Creatify and Invideo. These have helped me kick off my channel, however I am now planning more original content after buying some gear. 6. Immersive Tech (VR/AR/360°)

A recent trend or fad are the "Bigfoot" shorts. These are flashy but empty visuals, in my opinion. At first I watched a few, but they became ultimately boring as no real information is passed on and the initial entertainment factor has now replaced with the "yawn factor"
