A Hodgepodge.

This internal blog is a bit of a hodgepodge, a throw-together, albeit a well-thought-out throw-together.

Let me explain my Trevail.

At this time of year, I like to start planning out my strategy for 2024. However, I have been side-swiped by a couple of things unplanned.

The first of which was finding out why I have been feeling so under the weather for the last month. It seems I have had pneumonia which stuffed up my left lung. It was fairly obvious from the x-ray today as 3/4 of my left lung looked white.

Vietnamese doctors have a lovely bedside manner and had a good chuckle at my expense...along the lines of why didn't you come in earlier?

And I am the first to admit that I hate hospitals and generally stay away from them, even if I am sick. That has slowed my month and put the spoke in my upgrading wheel.

I run 2 businesses and my budgeting is tight and strict and am 2 days shy of this investment.

Trends of Today.

My first trend to cover is one we should all be happy and aware of. E-commerce trends.

There are several e-commerce trends to expect in 2024. These include sustainable packaging, same-day or next-day delivery, augmented reality and virtual reality, livestream shopping, automation and chatbots for online ordering, mobile-first approach, image search, voice search, product videos, ROPO (Research Online, Purchase Offline), and machine learning and AI.

Global e-commerce sales are projected to increase 9.4% year-over-year to $6.3 trillion in 2024. In the US, e-commerce penetration rates are set to rise from 23% in 2022 to 31% in 2026. Global mobile commerce sales are also expected to increase by 16.3% year-over-year to $2.5 trillion.

We know where the strengths in the market will be, and as I said in my latest website post, "I believe we are going through a new gold rush "

"If you want to make money, then follow the money. This is a modern-day gold rush right before our eyes. We’re seeing the biggest companies in the world go all in."

Zuckerberg, Musk, Gates, and Bezos are all investing heavily, and while we can not invest anywhere close to that degree, there are value adds we can offer.

If you just sell the product there is a limited amount you can make, but if you can add value there is a lot more on the table.

So I now know my market and the tools I will use. Step1.

Where am I Today?

I currently have 5 websites, and for me, that is too many. So I have chosen three I will be working with.

Two of these, are my MMO business and A.I website will be worked closely together and my ESL website will continue with more emphasis on add and product-based revenue.

Facebook is still big in Vietnam and my ESL site will have this as its main marketing focus.

I have different plans for the other 2 sites and will be "launching" these plans in February when I hope to return to Australia for 2years.

And Guilty of Wasting Time and Effort.

I have affiliate programs coming out of my proverbial at the moment. I have to cut them back to a max of 5 per website and start promoting those properly.

I have also canceled all emails from Wealthy Affiliate that are not relevant to my business as I have been guilty of spending up to 2 hours a day chatting and generally just wasting time.

2024 is going to be a lot more focused.

Tomorrows Touching Togetherness.

My children, Alison and Daniel live in Australia. ( Daniel flits from Germany, Hawaii and back to Australia) and it is one of the reasons for me to head back.

The second reason is my Daughter-in-law "Ngoc" will be attending University and I will be there as a "chaperone", lol, along with Nga, my wife. (Yes, we are keeping the schools here and Nga will be commuting back and forth every 3 months)

And thirdly this finally gives me a chance to concentrate 100% on my online business.

Dirty Details Done Dirt Cheap.

This is but a brief overview of what my intentions are for 2024. And I have drilled down a LOT deeper into the what's, where's, how's, and even the who's.

Blogging will still remain one of my main avenues of content, but this will be backed up equally with video in all its formats.

Even when looking at Google's page listings you will see videos right at the top, so we have to do it.

Whether you like it or not, AI is here to stay and we have to embrace it or it will turn into "Skynet" and our competition will devour us. Lol, where is Arnie the old "Governator"

Choosing the tools you run with is very important because if you do fall over with the wrong tools they will impale you.
