Apprentice Bard AI

Google is getting a bit freaked about ChatGPT. As you know, Microsoft has launched music LM, a music tool that can generate music from any genre from text prompts. And the "scuttle butt" is they are putting together an AI driven approach to Googles search engine.

Google is obviously OK with this, OH YEH, OH YEH....sounds like Metallica in Mexico.

They have their "proverbials" in a twist and are staging an event on YouTube on February 8th from Paris. ( Still have to have fun, that has to be it..hehe.)

Google is plainly concerned about the possibility that AI will eliminate the need for search engines, and even the man of Gmail recently acknowledged that the search giant might be just a year or two away from a significant disruption.

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, would be concerned by rumors that Bing would or could integrate ChatGPT into their world domination plans.

According to reports from C(IA)NBC, Google is testing a new chatbot called "Apprentice Bard" that functions like ChatGPT and allows employees to communicate with and ask questions of the AI in a manner similar ChatGPT interview.

Here is the link, I will be there. Sounds like fun all around. Give me a shout if you want to make a party out of it. lol.

This should be an interesting show. Google is concerned, but I think if you look at the underlying foundation, to get real time data (which is where Google really thrives), there is attribution to the content creator involved.

If there is no benefit to creating content, who is going to create this content. And an AI platform cannot just "steal" this content, and incorporate content into its engine. Things are about to get really sticky!

It will definitely be interesting and I do agree. Google (sorry you Microsoft supporters) has all the current data to pull AI "learning" from whereas, from what I have read, ChatGPT "learning" stopped in 2021. I saw something along the lines that said despite the outstanding results of both bots, there are minor distinctions between them. While ChatGPT's own training was discontinued in 2021, Apprentice Bard retains access to current knowledge to use in its conversation. Strangely, when given creative jobs like composing movie scripts, Chat GPT appeared to provide more thorough solutions, although Google's attempt performed better with riddles.
So once again, different strokes for different folks. However, I do believe these "tools" will be of ultimate benefit to us all as long as we put our overall stamp of humanity on it all.
Much like computers, when they first came out I remember that people were saying that these (computers) will doom us to a non-thinking future. yet we have used them "to" our fashion. The same, I think, will happen with this. those that use this innovatively, in my opinion, will be able to leapfrog others in business.
But as you said, it is not a tool that can be used to cut, paste, translate, copy, paste, and expect to get away with being lazy and non-creative.
Whatever will happen on Thursday will be interesting, to say the least. It would be great if someone could record it with a wealthy Affiliate logo or some form of WA branding so we can use it for future posts etc.
Cheers
Stevoi.

Thought you might find this of interest as well in this never ending story. It seems Microsoft is providing Bing with a chatbot that will deliver search engine capabilities. The AI learning process does not stop in 2021 but uses Bings algorithms to “train” it.
