Slowing down, needs motivation?

1 Month into WA, I was very enthusiastic about this online platform in the first 3 weeks. I started finding myself slacking off in terms of lessons, live chat, posting. How do we actually prevent this? We cant, we can only change our mindset.

Some of you might have been in my shoes, so what do you do?

1)Set minimum commitment per week - Remember why you sign up in the first place? Revisit your goals, if you can commit 1hour a day on WA, change it to 7hours on a single day (Rest day/non working day). Either way, try to have time management up on priority.

2)Taking on WA like how you do in college - Many of us dislikes school (Correct me if I am wrong), however you would still need to study in order to get that passing grade. SO what do you do? Study at your own pace. Same with WA, you might get bored of the repetition after a while. For me, I dont log in everyday like I used to, only when that adrenaline gets the better of me. It is bad, I know. But trust me, it gets better that way as you do not get burnt out from being on WA all day long & slowly but surely, you will relive the passion which you once had when you first joined WA (At least I did).

3)Treating WA like an online forum - Many a times, I would just log in & turn on the live chat. Interestingly, I enjoyed this process more than listening to Kyle's lessons & consider it much more enriching as different topics pops up during different time of the day. Some would give advice way beyond my pace but its all cool, just a simple click & you can access that extra knowledge via the links. Others who are new to WA might be asking questions in the chatbox & YOU(as the member), has the ability to help them. Just try to recall your first question asked in the livechat, did you get the answer you wanted & how helpful were the people who got back to you?

Lastly, I just wanna say that WA is your personal kingdom. You are the sole proprietor & no one can help you with that unless you ask for help. Business takes time, if you're not generating any revenues now, it doesn't mean that you will not do so tomorrow. Looking forward to success will push you more than anything else.

Regards,
Zhi Wei

Zhiwei,

Keep the faith brother. It is not easy to make it to the top but if you are going to persevere through you definitely make it.

John

Good post! I consider WA my job. I give it the same commitment I as I do with my out of home job and my exercise program. I may not have a supervisor to report to or coworkers depending on me, but I know that the person I would be letting down is ME!

Good post. Slow and steady wins the race as long as you do not give up. Dave.

You just do it. If you want something so bad and you start to slip, it's just a test man and if you don't keep pushing, you're going to regret it. I've felt that urge many times but it goes away.

Good to read this.. it gave me a little motivation to get back to work.. Thanks!!

Good points. Thank you for sharing!

Lol dude I've been experiencing the same issue with you. I realize that I'm slacking a bit in unpdating my contents. I guess I've set my minimum achievement to be too strict and will work to loose it somehow.

Thanks for sharing this.

Setting goals are only half of it. Sometimes you have to re-adjust your short term and medium range goals for one reason or another. Your longer range goals will most likely remain the same, ie, financial freedom, etc. This is why it is important to re-visit your goals and planning and adjust when needed. Do not get discouraged if you are not there yet. Just evaluated why and adjust, then move forward:) Dave.

Thanks Dave. I have adjusted some of my short term big goal. I found it a bit too piling (is this a word?) and I need to spread the goals into longer term. Thanks for your concern

No problem, let me know if there is anything that I can help with. Dave.
