Jan & Feb Update (I Have Made My Decision: Irregular CASE STUDY!)
Hey guys,
I think it's time to track my progress, no, I mean my whole process. Why? Because I know there will be many ups and downs alltogether.
I decided to take my MMO website seriously after wandering around its forest for about a year long. (9-10 months to be exact)
So first thing first, my website is exactly one year old this month. Hooray! lol
There is a reason why I suddenly changed my mind and try to go all in and not just half ass it. It is because I don't want to live the life I currently have right now.
No, not that it is bad but I don't think this is the kind of life for me. (I will try to explain more about this in a separate post/article.)
It's nothing melancholy or extremely dramatic, so don'y worry. Haha.
But to give you a very short answer for now, I feel like I am stuck working for my family from 9-9.
And if you grew up in an asian household, you know obedient behaviour is respected and rebellious attitude is frowned upon.
I just got dealt a bad hand by life (bad for me, not for the majority). But I will make no excuse, I will take control of what I can do and not hoping to receive solace or anything like that.
That's why...
I started going into my own piggy bank and hired a full-time writer to help me push out content, and yes, I know...WHAT?
That's why I called this an irregular CASE STUDY!
I am not making anything from my website, so I am not supposed to hire anyone.
But the situation I am in, I just can't find the time to write 20-30 posts a month while having to work from 9-9 every day.
So...decisions were made, I will use my own money to build my online business, just like I would with a real brick and mortar business.
And by the way, I am not rich, I don't even have A LOT of cash, if that's what you are thinking, that's not it.
But I have some money saved up and I will use that to outsource my content for about 1 to 1.5 years and see how it goes from there.
The money will either be sitting there and do nothing or be used for vacation, new car, etc.
I rather spend it on a business, failure or success.
Success is not guaranteed and I wouldn't recommend anyone to do this.
Even if I don't succeed, I hope this will be a good lesson to myself and maybe to some of you.

January Stats
Mind you, my webite was already 10 months old in January with 65 posts but traffic is laughable.
With just 65 posts, that's more or less what you can expect I guess.
Posts - 11 (most I had from month 1-10)
Total Posts - 65
Referrals - 1
Total Referrals - 12
Organic Traffic - 233
Income - $0
February Stats
As you can see, the next month wasn't anything different except from a few more organic visitors.
Wasn't expecting anything this month either, especially with the whole Coronavirus pandemic.
Total Posts - 83
Posts - 18
Referrals - 1
Total Referrals - 13
Organic Traffic - 336 (Jan +103)
Income - $0
I hope you guys are intrigued and decide to follow my journey and see what will happen in a year or two.
I will keep you guys updated.
In the main time, I will keep on gobbling down information to improve my overall knowledge about affiliate marketing and online marketing in general.
Just like Warren Buffet used to say, “Risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing.”

That is why I respect anyone who has the tenacity to work it through. Those of us newbies coming behind you have an idea of what to expect.

Being able to inspire those behind me to do the same, is in some way just as satisfying as making money, to me it is at least.
The question is not will it work? all the proofs are here, there is no doubt :)
The real question is, when will it happen?
And that depends on how much time you put into this, if you see it and treat it as a real business, I am sure you will be surprised at the results :D

Your inspiring to say the least... oh and gutsy. I have a wife and daughter to think about and cannot pay someone to do my content. One day, I will.
First, I need to make money with it, but I do like the way you think. With enough content, you should start to see better ranking by Google and eventually sales will start to flow.
