Pampering a little sick dog at my house.........

Sunday was a traumatic day at my house when my little baby dog Becca became very ill. We all know that weekends are not the best time to be presented with an emergency illness. If human, it usually means that one has to either go to the emergency room at the hospital or hopefully find one of the new Doc in a Box stores open. Having a dog sick on the weekend in my community means we call our regular Vet and will reach an answering service that will question symptoms being presented, and request how "Vet on call" will be able to contact you.

Sunday night I had an article published at Street Articles that provides very surprising and critical information about a toxic and potentially deadly condition developing in dogs that is, can be, and most likely, caused by a simple Penny! There is just too much information to include here and I do not wish to duplicate the article, however, if you have dogs you may want to read this article.

If you have heard of, or have had experience with this condition, I would appreciate hearing a comment from you.

You are a really good writer. Read and clicked - I liked it. But it made me sad for your little puppy as I had a similar experience with my 18 year old cat having ate something outside causing gingivitis.

Thank you caylynn! Liking and commenting is good for ratings and I appreciate it very much. Eighteen year old cat - my that is old isn't it? You cannot watch these little babies every minute - wonder what your cat ate to cause gingivitis? That is another new one for me!

Think caring for our animals at home is better than two days in the vet hospital. He lost weight, wouldn't eat and whatever it was took a toll on his kidneys. Fed him homemade chicken and fish stock, and astralgus extract when he could barely raise his head. Now he is up to usual feeding plus drinking the same and able to chew again. We love our little babies and miss them when they are gone. My previous cat lived 22 years and then one day he never came back. Am not wanting to lose my Quixote the same way.

So glad to hear Quixote is eating and drinking again. It is so hard to see your pet so sick, unable to eat or drink. I know I have hand fed mine when they would eat no other way. Whatever it takes, you just do it. I have pampered Becca so much that she is now quite spoiled- she insists on sitting in my lap, resting her little head on the desk while watching the laptop monitor. She loves videos! You take care now...

Well, ya' know how I feel...... that was a great article! Somebody is a really good writer...(-;

Thanks so much for the compliment! I feel like an imposter.......I am a "hopeful good author"! That article just poured out of me- I had to write it so I would not have to tell the story a dozen times to my family members. You are kind!
