Keeping It Short And Sweet, A Thank You
So yesterday I took the leap and went ahead and upgraded to premium (I greatly enjoy taking leaps, even when it lands me in a hole.)
Now, I am usually skeptical about big claims, not just with claims as "if you follow these steps you will be an easy millionaire." We all see these claims, most often on YouTube with some young guy showing off his 5 figure month with Shopify (sure they may have sold 5 figures, but at what margins on products, and how much are they spending in ads?)
One of the key differences between the claims of those "gurus" and the claims of Wealthy Affiliate is the fact that Wealthy Affiliate, and those that share Wealthy Affiliate, are very transparent in the fact that, this will take a while, you may fail your first time, and most importantly you WILL be putting in the hard work if you ever wish to see the success you are looking for.
(Note to anyone reading this)
If you read any books, particularly the "self-help" and "path to success" type books I am sure you are familiar with the one thing that all of these authors, and mentors have in common, the one trait that separates them from the people who have tried, failed, and given up, even if they have all the passion, and potential in the world to become successful, is the fact that they are persistent, and unwavering in the face of failure.
Potential is meaningless if it is never acted upon or used.
Everyone fails at some point. Everyone. But if you persist, learn from the mistakes, and get back up and continue going after your goals, you will eventually get there.
(Back to the point of this post)
So among the claims here at Wealthy Affiliate, one that truly stands out to me, is the fact that Kyle and Carson, two very busy men (I assume, they have this whole community to run along with lives of their own) will always be there for you, they will reply, engage with you, and help you with anything you need.
This is a big task, just look at how active the community is, even if you are a "Starter member" giving them nothing in return for not only their great first step training, and the amount of tools they leave to you FOR FREE, they will be there for you.
If you are a premium member, and you send them a private message, they will get back to you, rather quickly in fact. I sent Kyle a private message asking him a question, not a simple yes or no, and he got back to me, giving me more information than I even knew I was missing.
In conclusion, the claims here at Wealthy Affiliate are down to Earth, realistic, and most importantly absolutely backed by not only the other members of the community, but by Kyle and Carson themselves.
Thus, far the only time I found myself scratching my head, was due to my own mistake of "jumping the gun" and trying to figure out word press on my own after generating my website (thought build your website meant actually customize it -.- ) sure enough, after I decided to just jump into the next training figuring it may in inadvertently answer my question, it covered exactly what I was having trouble with.
So stick with the training, listen to Kyle and Carson, engage with the great community, but most importantly, the one thing I want you to take away from this, is be persistent your goals are within reach as long as you put in the work.
They have given us more than enough information, tools, and inspiration to make it happen, the only missing ingredient is your will and drive to make it happen.
Don't focus on your "what" don't focus on getting that $100k paycheck, focus on your "why," why do you want that $100k paycheck, to live a life of financial freedom? To take care of your family? To use it to make the world a better place? To buy your dream car? It does not matter what your "why" is, what matters is how far you are willing to go for your "why."
Now, I may not be an expert, or have the success myself, but if you have nay questions, need help finding your motivation, feeling down in the gutter and wanting to give up, leave me a message, comment on my profile, or message me privately, I will do whatever I can to help you, motivate you, or offer my assistance. I will recommend good books, good resources, and do my best to steer you in the direction of success.
Thank you, Kyle and Carson,
When I find myself reaching that pot of gold we all hope for, you will have one more helluva story to share!
-Chris

Hi Chris, excellent food for thought post, straight out of the gate. Making that realization that WA contains the knowledge and the resources to help us create a successful online presence, can save a lot of time, in the long run.
Thanks for sharing your insights.
Hey Alex,
Glad you enjoyed the read, my hope is if I can just encourage one person to continue with it, and push through the work and make it happen, and not jump ship for one of those "money machines" that always fail, (been there, done that, got the t-shirt)
I always take into consideration the claims that people make, it is easy to weigh a realistic claim vs. an exaggerated one. However some people just fall to emotional turmoil, especially in times of hardship.
If I can save just one person from giving up, my goal is achieved.
As I get experience, I hope to write up a few lessons, (bit camera shy and recorder shy ;)
One of the best lessons I have learned is that the successful people tend to be the ones, who when they have nothing, will summon up the ability to help the person next to them.
I will be writing another blog post in the near future about a story I have heard about the type of people who succeed at becoming Navy Seals, and the ones that don't.
It may surprise some people, and hopefully encourage others to always watch out for others.

Great post! You are so right about persistence. I personally came very close to quitting once then I went on Live Chat and a kind and knowledgeable someone walked me through the problem that was frustrating me so. Another great thing about WA is that we're helping make make other people's lives better while we're making money. Keep up the great work!
