Google + is shutting down for sure.
Now it's official, G+ soon belongs to the past. Many of us are still posting on G+ but now I think we can definitely save our time and stop doing this.
I haven't heard from the WA officials what is recommended to do with all our content we so far posted on G+, if there is anything we can do.
I take down the share button on my websites now and stop sharing my content on the platform.
What alternative is recommended I don't know, is Google offering a new social platform I don't know.
Please engage in this post and let's together find a good solution on how to deal with the new situation.
Have a nice weekend, Stefan :)

We as a community need to put our heads together and come up with something that works. None of the old stuff is working like it did three years ago. We need to brainstorm.
Hi Stefan
I too received a notification from Google+ to this effect and a few hours ago posed the same question to the WA community. What is the alternative to Google+ to which we have been posting?
Have a great weekend!
Stefan, I stopped using G+ a few months ago when I learned it was going to be closed. I've left my content there as I don't believe there is any value in deleting it.
In one of Jay's webinars he mentioned that Youtube 'Discussion' can replace Google Plus. However, that only applies to those who have a large following on Youtube. I don't remember the number of followers required, but it was very large.
Otherwise, I don't know of another platform to replace Google Plus. Maybe Google will introduce something new. Time will tell.
Hi Valerie
I'm also anxious to know whether Google+ will replace its platform with another one. Have a great weekend!
I am mostly active on Instagram and Pinterest, however still sharing to Google+ also on LinkedIn and Facebook and getting from all some traffic
Have a great day
Tommy
I now definitely have to learn how to use Instagram.
I had traffic from G+, Pinterest has so far not worked for me although I have put in a lot of effort.
The thing I don't like about Instagram is you can only upload images using your smartphone. But it is something I'm going to look into soon as a possible alternative to Google+
Instagram is a huge goal for me. I don’t utilize it at all like I should.
Pinterest is definitely worth it but it depends on your niche. Some niches may not work as well. It does involve some strategy and can be very time consuming at first. Unfortunately it doesn’t do much for you if you just pin a new post and move on for the day. It requires you to be pretty active, so getting signed up with a pinning scheduler is important for your sanity. Lol.
About editing Instagram on a computer, I wrote a WA Bolg, I hope this helps you. :)
But I don't know how to put a quick link...

So RIP Google+!
I haven't posted on there for a while, I am trying to learn much more about Pinterest and Instagram, as many people record success on those platforms.
But I do agree with Susan (Silverwings) below. I'm sure that between us we can come up with a great alternative! :)
