What's the most common problem that often troubles the bloggers?

Out Of Keyword Idea!

You're trying to think of what to talk about in your blog and… sure, you had a lot to talk about at first, but as time goes by, you realize that you're running out of topics to discuss! This is going to turn into a weekly nightmare and consume you.

Hence, I want to share with you my personal experience and knowledge on how to find endless SEO-friendly keywords for my blogging site => https://lifegoalfinisher.com/

Without further ado, let's get started!

-------------------------

The Process:

  • Stage 1: Finding 10 Direct Competitors
  • Stage 2: Collect Keywords From Competitors
  • Stage 3: Filter Out Competitors' Profitless Keyword
  • Stage 4: Validate Keywords With Jaaxy & Save The Quality Keyword For Later Use.

-------------------------

Stage 1: Finding 10 Direct Competitors

First of all, head over to Google to find the top direct competitor that is in the same niche as yours and then find the other 9 direct competitors with SimilarWeb.com.

Here's the step-by-step guide on how to do it:

1. Go to Google and find the top direct competitor that is in the same niche as yours.

2. Head over to SimilarWeb.com, and type in one of the direct competitors that you get from the search result.

3. Scroll down to the "Competitors & Similar Sites" section, and you'll discover other direct competitors.

You'll need to find the competitors that are doing reasonably well, neither the industry leader nor the newer one.

Or else, you might end up finding the highly competitive keywords or low traffic keywords.

Hence, I recommend you to select the competitors with 50k to 800k global rank, which I think such rankings are in the sweet spot.

Take a look at the examples below for better understanding.

4. After finding the ideal competitors, click on the thumbnail, and open them in separate window tabs, as shown in the figure below.

5. When you check out the direct competitors that you just found, you can see that SimilarWeb has given you another group of direct competitors.

Some of them might be the same competitors as before, so you just need to choose the different competitors with ideal global rank and open them in the new window tabs.

6. With this, you can find out many ideal direct competitors easily by replicating the process.

After you selected 5 to 10 ideal direct competitors, it's time to move on to the next stage.

Stage 2: Collect Keywords From Competitors

This is where the magic happens.

We'll be using Ubersuggest to collect our competitor's top 250 organic keywords.

Here's how to do it:

And here they're! The top organic keywords from competitors!

Stage 3: Filter Out Competitors' Profitless Keyword

Again, not all the keywords we collected from the competitors are good. Some of them are extremely competitive.

Hence, we must filter out the competitors' competitive keywords, so that our blog posts can get better rankings on the search engines.

Here's how to do it:

1. Format the data that we obtained from Ubersuggest into a table.

2. Understand the terms used in the table:

  • Volume: The number of searches this keyword has during a month.
  • Position: The position this URL is ranked in Google search
  • EST. Visits: The estimated traffic this web page gets from Google for this particular term.
  • SEO Difficulty: Estimated competition in organic search. The higher the number, the more competitive.

3.. Follow the rules below to find the low competitive keywords by sorting the data.

  • Volume greater than or equal to 1000
  • Position less than or equal to 20
  • SEO Difficulty less than or equal to 35

Here's an example of how I sort the keywords by Volume.

After sorting the list, you might still be getting an extensive list of keywords.

To further narrow it down, you can either lower the number in "Position" or "SEO Difficulty."

You also can sort the list by "EST. Visits" with greater than or equal to 500.

Replicate the process with the keyword lists from other competitors.

Stage 4: Validate Keywords With Jaaxy

After sorting the list, the next thing we should do is validate the keywords with Jaaxy in just 2 simple steps.

First, select one keyword from the list and search it on Jaaxy. Then, you'll be getting a lot of keyword ideas from the search result.

Follow what Coach Kyle has taught us in training, the keywords that you select MUST fulfill the criteria below:

  • Rule #1: More than 30 Average Monthly Searches.
  • Rule #2: Less than 100 QSR (Competition) Ideally.
  • Rule #3: Keyword Must Make Sense To Your Niche.

Here are the examples:

Last but not least, all you need to do is save the keyword to your Jaaxy's saved lists for later use.

Final thoughts

This is how I get the limitless keyword ideas.

This method enabled me to take my mind off creating content for my site. All I had to do was spend 1 - 2 days every end of the month and content for the coming month is set!

I hope you can get values from this post, and please do let me know if there's something you don't understand.

For sure, you're welcome to provide me your opinion and suggestion if you think there's an improvement for this keyword research method!
