My First Month At WA
It’s hard to fathom what I might be doing right now if I hadn’t stumbled upon the Wealthy Affiliate University. I really don’t know what I’d be doing. Maybe still surfing the web for ways to make money online? Dreaming of quitting my job and working from home? Who knows?...
In the years gone by I think I would have invested well over $2000 toward different ‘Get Rich Quick Schemes’ all promising to reveal real money making methods but always failing to keep that promise. Every time I run into problems I would ask for help only to be ignored and eventually I would give up and cancel my membership.
Over the years I had seen remnants of the Wealthy Affiliate program appearing from time to time across the web but being the sceptic that I am – I shied away from venturing further. Occasionally, when I was motivated or just had extra cash to splurge, I would sign up to promising ‘Get Rich Quick Schemes’ hoping to one day find the secret to making money online but always fell away with utter disappointment.
Much like a lot of people in WA, I too was also once part of Empower Network but later found it wasn’t the type of affiliate program I wanted to promote or be a part of.
The opportunity to join Wealthy Affiliate was purely by coincidence while reading what I thought was a scam review on the program. After reading about the free starter membership I decided to join. I am really glad I made the decision to join as it’s been very educating for myself and obviously other newbies that have recently joined.
My Time With Wealthy Affiliate
The first month with Wealthy Affiliate has been very intense and eye opening. The in depth training and tutorials has been overwhelming and informative to say the least. I’ve learnt things I probably would never have gotten from other Affiliate programs. The wealth of knowledge Kyle and Carson share has been an enormous drive for me to succeed, Every step of the way I have felt their influence on myself and others.
One thing I am certain of is I now have a clear direction to where I want to be. I have spent a lot of hours focusing on creating a credible website that could one day compete with the best of them for the #1 Google rank for my search terms.
While I would love to reach my first years goal of signing 20 affiliates up to Premium membership before the year end, I have now found the motivation and drive to fulfil my long term goal of working from home as an internet marketer. If the Wealthy Affiliate University was a lotto then I think I finally hit the jackpot.
Obstacles preventing me from achieving my goals?
With so much information to take in from the site I currently lack the time to be able to get through the vast library of information. Between shuffling my 12 hour day job, a few sports modules I’m involved in and working on my website as well as creating fresh content for the site, there is very little time to do much of anything else.
I am very focused on what I want to accomplish so I won’t give up on what I have started. I’ve even started writing on my work computer when no one is looking of course just to get a head start for when I get home. It hasn’t been easy but I’m determined to succeed.
Thanks to Kyle, Carson and the Wealthy Affiliate University, I now have everything I need to make a change in my life! A big thanks should also go to Steve from ‘I’ve Tried That’ for providing the inspirational blog that lead me here!

You're doing really well Zac, especially considering the demands on your time. I've commented before on your site, it is excellent and you should achieve your goals. I have left a comment on your site to impress Google ;o)
Tomorrow makes it one month that I have been with WA. It has been a steep learning curve, considering I knew nothing about constructing a website. There were times when I muttered under my breath, asking what the hell did I think I was doing, where was I headed with this, etc. and all but ready to quit. But I hung in there, and so far, I have the bones of a website which I consider quite an achievement, and there are times when I'm so engrossed and enjoying myself, that I get annoyed when life interupts - eg. when my family and other animals have to eat.

Keep it up! Stay focus and a little hard work will get you what you want in life. The important thing is that you have taken the first step and may i say it was a good one.
