I feel my passion slipping ! HELP
Hello My Friends,
I am not what one would call a blog person, but I wanted to get my feet wet. I will blog today or rather tonight about my passion for animals. I love all animals down to the tiniest little critter one can find. My husband and I have a little cottage on the water in the Southern part of Nova Scotia, Canada, where we hang out for the summer and fall. This is where I am most happiest since I am surrounded by all the little critters that live around me. I feel if they are on my property, it is my responsibility to take care of them. I don't have any animal that is dangerous or threatening, but what I do have I celebrate. My favorite are my little chipmunks who never cease to amaze me. These guys are the hardest little workers I have ever seen. I make sure they have enough seeds so when they disappear into their well built homes for the winter they won't starve. I have all the little birds that I am sure everyone has, the chickadees, yellow finches, green necked hummingbirds, colorful male peasants, four deer, two otter, two groundhogs, squirrels, and last but not least my favorite. Are you ready?? Crows. Yes I know and people kinda look at me strange. I have been studying them for a long time and you have to respect these very intelligent birds who have survived for a very long time with us humans. If you are good to them or feed them they can pick you out in a crowd of five thousand people. Amazing!!!
I feel though I am not able to find a niche in this category. It just seems everything is saturated, and yes if I dig deep using the key words I may find something, but it probably won't be as passionate
I would appreciate any help in this niche that you can provide or suggestions as I have been on it for days. I was thinking of maybe becoming an affiliate for Amazon advertising a product related to animals and then having content related to that as well as other content on dogs only. HM!!!! I wonder if there are any crow products Nahhhhhhhh Forget that Yvonne
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope I got at least two stars Heh Heh Cheers
All the best Everyone and to those who will be coming on board**
Yvonne

Hi Yvonney, check this out and see if you can come out with any niche. It's a cat cafe in my part of the world that have attracted many cat lovers.

oh just saw this I am going to check it now how kind of you to take the time to do this. Cheers Yvonne
Thank you Plim, I did check it out. Nothing yet but really enjoyed the site. Thank you so much
Yvonne
Sometimes you just have to throw spaghetti at the wall to get started. Start a website about animals, and see where it goes! My site started out way different than it is right now. You can start blogging on your site, and see which topics interest you most, then go in that direction. Then you can see where your traffic is coming from, and create more content in that direction.
It sounds like you have a real passions for animals...maybe forest creatures is a good niche? Like what they eat, how to deal with them on your property...There are plenty of folks with homes near forests that deal with deer, bears, raccoons... and they need to know how to safely deal with them, whether it be feeding, or keeping them out of the garden, or catch/release...
That sounds like a pretty good niche to me!
As far as products goes, worst case scenario is that you can put Google Adsense on your site! There may even be some ebooks related that you haven't thought of yet. I see so much potential here.
Hi N.
Yes I see your point.about the spaghetti Yes i do have a strong passion and love for animals little one and large ones. I wouldn't hurt a fly if that makes sense. As much as i love them I am not so sure it would be lucrative down the road, but at the moment it's really the only topic I love to rant about. So be it! I am certainly not in a rush here, so I will just let the light so to speak take me where it leads. I am excited though. I know alot about crows as I study them as well. One of them at my cottage leaves me little gifts and many crows do that when you take care of them. No diamonds yet though. Thank you Nathanial
Hi Yvonney, I enjoyed reading about your love for animals. I am also an animal lover. Education is a great tool. What better than educating
Someone about an animal, especially crows not many people know about these birds. Your on the right track making it a niche. I don't have too much experience at the moment to help you but I can support you so go a head girl and do what you have to do . Lots of luck
oh thank you my brain is in overload. but i think thats better then having a no brainer if you know what i mean Really appreciate you taking a moment to read my blog. i do like to write but alot comes from my head unless of course it relates to facts. Cheers
Thank you i just went in to see if anyone had read and left a comment. wow so nice of you and so nice to see a few comments. to help me along. I will get there by hook or crook. Appreciate it means so much
Hi Yvonny, hope things are getting brighter for you or clearer. I just wanted to add that when you have a passion don't let it slip away. Walk away for a while and think about what gave you that passion and when you return again you will feel that passion even greater. Never forget how that passion began. Those are things that keeps us going. Again, lots of luck and keep on pushing.
Thank you today was a shitty day. I am still thinking of my passion for animals site but need products or something to sell on my site well ithink that is how it goes. anyway amazon turned me down because they felt my domain was too generic and so i had explained to them that that domain was originally not for Amazon so i would keep this domain and possible come up with something that would be accepted by A in terms of wesite name. so I am back here tonight with frustration and confusion. Tks friend
I LOVE crows, see quite a lot in the countryside where I am.
You could write about caring for animals in the wild, like what to leave out for hedgehogs, what to do if you find an orphaned animal. Bird seed is a HUGE seller over here, my late Father spent thousands buying different seeds for the different birds he wanted to attract into the garden.
Love Bill's (welook) idea of characterising them and he's right, it's a massive industry, plenty of monetizing opportunities. :)
Thank you Kathy your comment mean alot to me I can't say this is easy but I can say I am enjoying the challenge and getting to know myself more. Tks K
Yo Yvonne. Tons of niches in your passion. "My Little Cottage animals". Several products for pets at amazon and ebay, also probably books on clickbank. All these you can market. Probably and affiliate other pet related stuff. Write about the character of each one of your animals (pets). Animal lovers is a big industry. Brainstorm, you'll get it.
oh heavens yes thank you. I wondered if my little varmits as I call them affectionatley would have any products and I love that name " my little Cottage animals" so thankful have a really productive day cheers yy Thanks for reading my blog Glad I did it cause you sure helped
Oh I love what you said yes i can certainly write about their characters. I have been studying them for so long and i did think of you know the books and other pet related stuff i do find it a little confusing in how to get the links on your website though but I will ask when I finish my lessons which will be soon that's when i will need help Thank you my friend
I have a free images website with pictures of animals, you can use them as inspiration to write, and you can use the pictures copyright free.

Great profile Yvonne! I'm not into birds, but I really cannot tolerate people abusing any defenseless animal. I love dogs. My boy Baxter, whose picture is on my profile, is a cockerspaniel, 12 years old and recently diagnosed with melanoma. I hope he stays with me for at least another year. Anyway, good luck finding content for your niche. I stay away from Amazon due to their commissions being so small. They pay peanuts! Maybe Commission Junction would have something relevant to your niche. Anyway, good luck here in WA as you journey to success. Sharon
