Reasons for Great Comments On Member Blogs and Comment Exchange
Wow, I love social interaction and I know you do too by all of the interaction here at Wealthy Affiliate, but are you leaving beneficial comments?
See a comment is a great way to build personal authority status and increase authority for your site even if you can't directly share your link in the post. When people learn to recognize you as an expert they follow what you do. If you have your profile fully filled out including site links you could also be getting a ton of great traffic and more awesome comments on your blog that are 100% organic.
People you engage with in a quality first manner will view your profile and often visit your Blog(s) linked on it. This traffic helps feed your SERPs or Search Engine Ranking Position. This is also prevelent on you content here at WA. Every comment is linked by your name and image to your profile page which gains Authority if you leave great comments. The profile then links to your blog as an authority link.
So how do you leave great comments?
First address at least one idea in what you just read and expand the thought on it. Even if you have to research your facts and expansion you need to add to the conversation with what you have learned.
Interact with responses to your comment. Even if the comment is through Site Comments you can bookmark the page and come back to see updates to the comment section.
If a post on your blog is a really great match that expands this conversation add that when commenting directly on blogs as an added resource. Don't be spammy but most blogs will allow one link that really helps their readers, even if you just add it where it says website on the comment form.
Use the affiliate links at the top of the page on great post here on WA on your blogs to build links to WA content for added income but also to let current leaders see that you are active in additional niche related conversations around the internet.

Thanks for your nice ideas as always!
I think it is good to engage in comments with people who do the same. Because sometimes it is complicated to answer to comments like "Great" or "thank you". People have every right to be brief in their comments this is not a bad thing, but it is difficult to answer to such short comments.

I am of the thought that having a right and being right are two different things. Most writers pour a good deal of life into their post and simply saying, "great post" is something I personally can't do in exchange for that. I appreciate every comment but take notice of the great comments.

Proper comment strikes the bottom line about the post and the value it gives. It is true to give comments specific to the statements found in the post which we may find worth commenting about. ⭐💥🌈

Nothing beats a good comment except great content worth commenting on. I am a firm believer that the reader is owed as much as the writer in terms of engaging food for thought. I especially love questions related to my post for this reason.
