Struggling with my Site
Hello WA family,
Well, I have tried to finish my site for about 2 years and I have finally decided to go back and reread the courses. I have had a few detours, such as the death of my Mother and the death of other close family members. I continued to work on my site during that time, but now I am not sure if I want to continue on my quest with this site. I just wonder if I was too ambitious. I really enjoy looking at the other new sites and wonder if why I am having such a difficult time staying focus. If there is a right time to start over; it is now.

My condolences to you for the loss of your Mom and other family members.
I have not lost a close family member so it is hard for me to relate to you in this area but with the large WA community that we have I'm sure someone has faced similar circumstances and could be more helpful. Please don't feel that you are alone.
I read your profile and see that you are very giving person. Is the proliteracy volunteer work that you do part of your website niche?

Hello Bob,
The Proliteracy volunteer work that I do, is a group or one on one teaching. We work on expressions and handshaking and all of the basic tasks that English language learners need to learn. This is what I do to relax. I really enjoy teaching the adults and they do not feel embarrassed if they make a mistake, because I teach in an embarrassment - free zone.
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I think I was just trying to do too much at one time. Sometimes it is hard to start over, but as you mentioned, there are a lot of good people here.

I would say now is a good time to start. Just go at a pace that is comfortable for you. Like we're all told, its not a race.
Set some goals for yourself. Simple in the beginning so you dont get overwhelmed. As you move on, expand your goals. Push yourself a little. If you dont reach a goal its ok. Reset, resume.
If you want it bad enough you'll make it happen. Just keep moving forward.

Great words of encouragement!! I think I just lost my interest and that made my site more of a burden;instead of a joy to work on. My site is actually finish, but I will take a step back and regroup. I appreciate your statement about it not being a race and about going forward. Sometimes it is easy to forget to enjoy the journey.
