Happy Birthday to Me!
Today is my birthday and I took a serious look at my progress here at WA again. I must admit I'm disappointed in myself. As I say in every post, I believe in WA and know it is where I need to be to learn about developing a successful online business.
In the beginning, I was doing my training every day and progressing quickly and could see the results. My rank was moving up and I got 2 different websites up and running, both indexed in Google and felt things were going to be on easy street at that point.
I did get busy in other aspects of my life, (I am a small business retail entrepreneur) and I felt I didn't need to continue the training daily, for growing my online business.
Well you all can guess I found out I was sorely wrong. I was checking in every other day or so and watching my rank fall from lack of activity. I loved reading the other members posts and how they were doing great and feeling good about their progress.
My biggest fear is in writing blog posts. I would be astonished at how some members would complain about only getting 7 blogs a week, one per day, then be ecstatic one week because they actually had more than 10 posts in 1 week!
I'd be thinking, wow, 1 post a day...that's fantastic and how'd they find the time to do that! LOL!
I'd be happy for them, but then would realize what a "slacker" I was and understand why my rank was going down weekly and my websites weren't doing the activity there were before.
In the past week, I've rededicated myself to the training, (still can't get to it every day, but that is my goal), learning about using social media and also made some appearance changes to my websites. I'm feeling good about my progress again. I want to make sure I am doing some sort of positive change to my online business every day, even if it's only getting through the next lesson.
Wish me luck and a happy birthday!

Happy birthday to you! ... many, many happy returns & best wishes on your special day... cheerio... :)
Work at the pace that is best for YOU. Don't compare yourself to someone else that is a recipe for disaster. Do your best every time and you will find that you progress at the pace you set. Do not worry about rankings, concentrate on doing the work for your site.

Happy birthday.
I presume you are talking about the ranking within WA 's system?
I'm not sure why you would want to make this a priority - I think some folks do it because they are promoting WA and therefore a blog in here ranks on Google. But that is only a guess.
If WA promotion is your thing - then yes I think a blog a day is easily achievable. You hardly need any images and that alone saves tons of time.
I prefer to spend my time writing content for my site but 1 a day is beyond my ability and I have all the time in the world.
I just find that a 1500 word article/post with accompanying photos (all SEO optimised), promotion to G+, adding it to Google and Bing Webmaster tools, commenting on others and replying to comments on my own etc. followed by KW research and then researching what I want to write for my next post takes way longer.
I find it can be exhilarating, rewarding and exhausting at the same time!
Let me know if you find the secret to doing 1 blog a day.
But take the day off and enjoy your birthday - plenty time to get rich from tomorrow onwards.

Hello Yvette. Happy late birthday! I used to chase the ranking in my first 2-3 months, then one day I dropped the idea of ranking. Shut it out of my mind and only focus on training for the purpose of projects to make my work life better at the Company I work. It put me in such a strong position my career started to take off and I developed a new level of authority and trust through the contributions that I was making. Then I came back to WA blogs again after a long break, and within 1 month I went from like 64,000 ranks to 200, 100, and then low 50s! I guess what happened was that I started sharing the things I learned at work using WA tools. And then with that experience, I got pretty excited to start my own personal website projects. But leaving the training again and going off on my own path, I ended up getting off course and somewhere I did not want to be. A nice couple here at WA sent me a PM with a wake-up call and here I am now again, back on track! It is amazing how many justifications my mind conjures up to take a break from the training. Rupert.
