Thought I Was Being SCAMMED By Paypal & Wealthy Affiliate

Yea well I thought wrong lol

Read the bottom for updated message

*Original Message*

Im almost at the point where i'm starting to believe i'm being SCAMMED!! Not really sure by who, because nobody can give me a solution to the problem.

First I get an email from Wealthy Affiliate via PayPal

Wealthy Affiliate sent you money!

$38.50 USD

Get your money in just a few easy steps. Click the button below to get started.

Claim Your Money

Claim your $38.50 USD by July 1, 2015 or it will be returned to the sender.

I click the claim your money button & get redirected to a login page asking me to create a personal account. At the bottom it says "Have an account? Log in"

So i login and the money is not their. Their is no where I can claim the money...

I call paypal asking them where is the money Wealthy affiliate sent me? They reply back with its not here and that most likely the email you are receiving is a SCAM!

I ask "why is it a scam when its a trusted source?" (not sure i even believe that anymore now)

They give me several reasons.

1. Paypal only sends emails from service@paypal.com & the email I got was, member@paypal.com

2. If money was sent, their should be a transaction ID number.

They finally tell me your best bet is to, have the company call paypal to get this resolved or have them resend the money again to the same address. If that doesnt work, send it to a different paypal address.

I have contacted both kyle & carson numerous times.

When i contacted kyle, I feel like i got an automated message that didnt answer my question at all.

I contacted Carson and after 5 days now havent got a response...

Within those 5 days i have called paypal every single day trying to get this resolved & think of ways to finding a solution to this problem.

I have talked with 6 different people from paypal including a supervisor!

Its very frustrating when paypal keeps telling me to contact Wealthy affiliate when nobody here is responding to my problem.

Im usually a patient guy but its getting to the point where its running out. I really want to believe in this company however it seems as tho I really am being scammed which sucks because I have already put in a lot of work here & for the last 5 days now I havent felt like working on any of my sites because of this problem & due to the fact that I feel like i am being scammed.

Trust me i have tried everything on my end to get this problem fixed but with Kyle or Carson not responding to me how can I?

*Updated Message* (W/ Possible Paypal Solution)

First off I want to say that I understand if people get busy or behind. I know I was perhaps being a little bit impatient but at least I am man enough to admit it. So apologize if I came off rude or demanding.I have finally came into contact with Kyle & Carson & it is good to know that this particular problem is going to be fixed. As to why their were problems with my first payment I am not sure but I think my email may have been corrupted or possibly hacked.I have also been having problems with fiver accepting payments through my old yahoo email. After days of going back & forth with fiverr's customer support & trying to figure what the problem was, I decided to add another email with my paypal account for fiverr.

I added a google email(gmail) & soon enough the money showed up in my account.

So what was the problem?

I really dont know to tell you the truth because with both fiverr & wealthy affiliate my emails matched with same emails that I put in paypal.

But from what I have observed I think yahoo emails have a hard time accepting payments with paypal because I have seen many people on google complain about this problem & noticed most of them have yahoo emails as well.

Like I said I dont know if maybe my email was hacked or corrupted but I think that could be why but who knows?? Could be a bug or glicth..

So if you have a yahoo email & it works then great but for those who may ever have this problem you may want to consider switching your yahoo email to a google or some type of other email instead.

Just my observation though ; ) Hope none of you guys ever run into this problem because their are horror stories on google of people not getting thousands of their hard earned money through paypal.

Sounds like you clicked on a scam email link.

Never never never click on a link within an email that has to do with financial information - go straight to the website to do that.
Over the years I've gotten a zillion scam emails pretending they were from Paypal.

"Claim your $38.50 USD by July 1, 2015 or it will be returned to the sender."
... that is a major red flag right there - PayPal would never send you a message like that.

If it were me, I would change my PayPal password immediately to be on the safe side.

Give Kyle another chance - both he and Carson are very honest and good people, but I really feel for you. If it's a mistake they'll make it right!

Hi Yves, sorry to hear your issue. I just wanted to reassure you that I've been a member for a while here and I've received 2 payments of over $100 from WA, both into my paypal account with no problems at all so hopefully it's just a glitch. Be cautious, I have a couple of businesses and I receive heaps of 'pretend' emails from paypal saying click this link etc. Never ever click on links in emails from paypal, banks or anything else to do with money, always go directly to their login page that you know is real. Good luck sorting your problem out, cheers mate.

ps; My Paypal account is a business account so business to business payment shouldn't be an issue.

pps; your website looks awesome!

2

Thank you for for your input TJ. Im hoping its a glitch or technical issue as well.

Also thanks for ruling out the business to business payment issue. Good to know i cant stop wondering about that issue

2

No worries, glad I could help a little, now you just need to find that money! I know somebody mentioned before but be sure to change your paypal password if you clicked on a link in an email

Thanks & yes I changed my password twice already

Hey Yves
Sorry to hear you're having technical issues, that's a real pain in the butt.
And you did check that you have that coming to you right?
Ok, on the email you received, it said ;click here to accept this payment, and you were redirected right?

One of two things
~ it's a technical issue
or
~it's a scam operation
For sure I can guarantee 200% that neither Kyle or Carson are trying to scam you.

Kyle and Carson are both extremely successful with WA as well as other sites they own, scamming is just not even thought of.

Did you click on the black plane button at the top right hand corner of your WA page?

I'm sure Kyle and Carson will get back to you soon, just hang tight a bit. I also clicked community help regarding your post
Also, rest assured that Kyle and Carson are not out to scam anyone, think about it, why in the hell would they?
WA is built on integrity,

Sorry to hear about your problems

Yes i have checked that the money is coming to me even when i click payout history in here next to commissions it says

Payment Date
2015-06-01 09:41:32

Amount $ 38.50

I want to believe its a technical issue, I really do. Also I forgot to mention that when i click on the claim your money button and am redirected to paypal I am briefly logged for about 5 seconds in paypal in what looks like an older version and then sent to a paypal login page.

Idk if that has to do with cookies or cache files but nobody at paypal could answer that question so idk?

Yea i wouldn't understand why i would be scammed either when this website & the people in here seem very concerned in helping people achieve success.

Im just really frustrated that i havent received the customer service i been expecting in here.

I have people asking me right now looking to join wealthy affiliate and dont know what to tell them because of the situation i am going through. How stupid would I like if i got them to join only to get scammed?

2

You can get the idea out of your mind, it's not WA scamming you, rest assured of that part.
There are so many here, that earn an honest living thanks to KYLE and CARSON
All we can do right now, is to sit tight and wait for an answer. I'm following this thread Bro, and like you, waiting...
I cannot stress enough the integrity of WA, and I also can empathize with you and know how you feel.
Good you brought this issue up, so it can help resolve
Your friend
Joseph

Yes i felt like it was needed to bring this up because if you search google "Cant Claim Money Paypal" their are so many people with this problem but with no solution. I have spent hours of searching & mostly all paypal is saying is that, if you receive that type of email then its a scam. Which sucks because people are receiving money through paypal from loved ones and paypal is telling them its a scam.Which doesnt make sense??

I guess I was believing more & more that WA was scamming me was because for the past 5 days thats all I been hearing from paypal telling me what that email is.

Im hoping in here we can find that solution to help other people that may face this problem & that Kyle & Carson get back to me soon.

1

I hear you Yves, and it can be frustrating., more so if it's an urgent matter as yours.
However, we can't loose sight that both Kyle and Carson are human, and also extremely busy. I know this doesn't do much to comfort your feelings right now.
This was the first post I read this morning, being that I highly respect and totally trust WA, as well as caring for my friends here, you can see how it made me feel.
As I said, it was the right choice to bring this up.
Thank You my Friend, though not the best way to meet eh? Still I'm happy our paths crossed ;))
With sincere concern
Joseph

Oh, can you please let us know, once Kyle or Carson contact You?
Thanks

It was a scam, there are fishing programs that see what websites you are using and then send you money "confirmations" from them to bait you into logging in through the link they provide, which just tracks and steals your login and info. Reset your passwords and information, and never ever log into paypal other than directly from the site itself. Sadly there are a lot of shitty people on the internet and you got to stay vigilant.

2

So then where is the money that wealthy affiliate sent me? Paypal has no record of it.

And how do the phishing programs know how much wealthy affiliate & when they have sent me money?

It just doesnt make sense

I'm not entirely sure that there was any money coming from WA, they may have just made up an arbitrary number.

Had you made some referral sales on WA?

Yes I have, Wealthy Affiliate pays on the 1st of every month

In here it says i will be paid $38.50 USD the minimum threshold is $25 so i should receive that money

So how does the phishing program know that amount?

Thats why i truly want to believe its a technical error and not a scam.

I think it could be because I have a business paypal account & you cant have a business (wealthy affiliate) making payments to another business? im not sure if thats true but i cant find out when Kyle or Carson doesnt respond to me

I even asked paypal customer support about, they said that it doesnt matter but the lady I talked to about it seemed like she wasnt sure.

Whats weird is that I can receive payments when people buy my beats.

Im willing to create a personal account to solve this problem

Is it possibly that they haven't paid it out yet? You are correct it does sound like it might be a technical error. I would not fret too much, I'm confident that it will get resolved soon and to your satisfaction.
