3 weeks in! So far so good!
It's been about 3 weeks since I signed up with WA and I just got to the end of Course 2 in the Certification Training. Sounds slow I know, but I had to skip some lessons(and then go back) just so I could get to what I needed for my site at the moment. So while I am just completing Course 2, I am also halfway through Course 3, and in the beginning of Course 4. I'm just always excited to tick those boxes saying I completed a task.
I have learnt soooo much in these 3 weeks; and these are all things I would probably never have learnt in 3 weeks without the guidance provided here. I enjoy what I'm doing on my site and that keeps me excited and bubbling up with ideas or thoughts. My first post was indexed by Google days ago and that made me jump up and do a happy dance! I think it's a major milestone for any newbie like me with zero experience in this area.
Creating posts has actually been more demanding than I thought, due to my chosen niche and how I have my site set up. I have to get not only affiliate links but also pictures from the affiliates for every single post. And a lot of times, their pictures are humongous and so I have to search for smaller versions on Google, which I may nor may not find. I sometimes wish I could just insert an image from the image gallery and be done with it, but I can't and I'm getting used to it. So I have only published 2 posts to my site so far. My goal was to publish 3 posts a week, but I think it might end up being just 2 posts per week for now. My new goal will be to work up to 3 posts weekly.
All in all I'm enjoying the journey and super grateful for all you kind and helpful people here!

Well done. You have achieved a lot already. It is not a race so don't ever feel like you are moving too slowly.
As long as you stay here and continue the training, the website will grow.
There is a free program to download called GIMP.
Graphics Image Manipulation Program.
It is a little hard to learn when you begin, but it is so easy to resize images.
I just open the image in GIMP.
Click on the menu - Image - Scale Image
See the image in this reply of a screenshot.
You can scale by pixels which helps when you need an image with certain pixel requirements.
Hope this helps. Dave

Excellent!!!
If you don't already have one, Yemmi, I would encourage you to create a schedule. I went without one for so long, and it was to my detriment.
Great job on your progress! I don't know how much knowledge you had on building a website when you came to this platform, Yemmi, but I would encourage you to follow all the lessons in the order given. There are countless posts written, by fellow members on how they wished they had followed all the lessons and tasks, without skipping.
All the best to you, Yemmi!
Thank you Veronica! I appreciate the advice.
