Wow. I lived in Fargo, North Dakota for 14 years. The only weather mishaps were the terrible multiple snow blizzards and the severe harsh winters. I am glad I no longer live there. Thanks for sharing your blog with us. Scary indeed.
Ooh! Fargo... over the last few years... has had a wide array ofr pro'lems, I'm afraid. But now... basically, Everyone is having weather-related pro'lems that were hardly heard of, it seems, a few years back.
Hubby an' I have lived in this particular area for goin'-on eleven years an' in the state of SD for thirty-eight years. I absolutely love it, myself. I've lived in every state, except Hawaii an' everywhere I've lived has been my favorite, at the time. Naturally, THIS is my favorite, now, although I'm not as crazy 'bout the crazy weather that seems to be attacking the Whole World. Ungh!
Where d'you live? I hope it's somewhere that has caught hold of yer heart an' you really love.
I actually don't think ND is as inexpensive as it used to be. Now, with alla' oil drilling an' everything. I have friends who went up to that area to join the drillers an' they say it is now so crowded an' unsafe that I worry for anyone who has to live there. 'Course, there is that whole thing where I'm not so sure ANYWhere is really safe, anymore... what with the weather changes an' peoples' apparent willingness to be offended by so many things, these days. *Groan*
I'll keep your mama in my prayers an' you, too. I'm very sorry to hear 'bout your hubby. I do hope that things go well for you an' your mama an' all those you care for.
Big Hug!
