Ain't THAT a Kick in the Pants?!?

No matter WHAT you read here, please do NOT consider it to be sarcasm (except in the form of fun), competition (except for the purpose of gentle teasing), mockery (with only a LITTLE thought to poking someone I care for), sneering (I AM, after all, HUMAN) or disrespect (except, p'rhaps, with a slight jab at my OWN failure to act when I should've).

That said to clear up anyone's feelings that I may, in ANY WAY, be upset... lemme' just ask ONE tiny an' simple little question: "Ain't THAT a Kick in the Pants?!?"

I mean, SERIOUSLY, ya'll. I like to think I'm a good mama. A passing gramma' an' a friend to all animals who don't give me the creeps. In fact, if the truth be known ~ ~ ~ I may have even saved a life, here an' there, when occasion presented itself. Jus' sayin'...

Okay, okay! So, the life I saved MIGHT have been MY OWN. But still ~ ~ ~ if it were you, well... you might've done the same. Am I right?

So, lemme' tell you all a short story:

Long, long ago (a few months, if I'm truthful), someone close to me (well... ME) found this really great website where folks could go to have fun, meet people, be encouraged an' make money. After figuring out that this new website was all that an' HONEST, too, I decided to share. In fact, I shared with someone special; my little girl. I'm nice like that. :D

On WA I began to study the lessons an' learn what I needed to do in order to advance myself to the first level. BINGO! I was movin' right along, when I realized that my very smart little girl was doin' the same. Hot DIGGITYY! In MY thoughts, that certainly increased MY value by many points. Don't ya'll agree? My little girl an' I would soon be showing alla' family what successes we were on' Wealthy Affiliate, as well as around the home fires. I saw myself as the HERO of the day. Makes sense, don'tcha' think?

I was goin' along, minding my own business, building a website, when BANG! Just like That! I had sump'n I've never before experienced in my entire LIFE! STAGE FRIGHT!

Seriously?!? What's up with That?!? I always felt that deep-down sense that, "I don't DDDOOOOOOO Stage Fright. With Anything! Ever!"

You ever feel that way? Can't move forward? Can't move back? Can't figure out what's goin' on, so of Course, you can't FIX it.

Lemme' tell you a bit about myself: my mama said that when I was born, I never met a stranger. Okay, it's pro'lly a cliche' an' jus’ maybe, other babies are the same. But as I grew, I could talk to Anyone. No inhibitions, whatsoever. None. No fear of rejection. No fear of bodily harm.

If someone had said, "Let's climb Mt. Vesuvius," I'm sure I would've started packing my tent. I've always been that way. The best great adventure was the next great adventure.

Now, all of a sudden, I was facing my own WALL of FEAR an' there didn't seem to be any way around it; side-to-side, up, down... it didn't matter. I had been conquered. "By what," you may cleverly ask.

By the ONE thing that I felt the most confidence in; Writing, of all things!!!

For the LIFE of Me, I could not write a single word on Wealthy Affiliate! It just wasn't happening.

About the same time, I had some rather incapacitating things going on with my health. Now, not only was I faced with my First-Ever case of Stage Fright an' Writer's Block... NOW, I even had sump'n to blame it on. Oh, don't get me wrong ~ ~ ~ the health issues are very real an' all, but for ME, they now served to ENABLE the fear that was eating away at my Psyche.

Soon, I realized that my little girl was goin' great guns on WA an', before I realized what had happened, she had Caught Up an' passed me in the lessons.

I hear ya'! I can hear those little thoughts of yours, saying, "But WA is Not a competition!"

An' you're Right! It's Not.

But ~ ~ ~ THIS is my little GIRL. An' she was doin' SO Well. An' I was SO Torn; Proud of how well she was doin', while Still feeling that I should be the one leading HER. I mean, I introduced her to WA an' I AM, after all, her MAMA!

But things soon took a turn... for the Better or, the Worse, depending on your perspective.

I LOVE WA! Did you know that there is practically NO age limit for building a business on WA? Yup! It's true. Now, my little girl has begun showing HER little boy what a wonderful place WA can be. Yup! You heard me right.

Now, my young GRANDSON is goin' along, minding his own business an' building his website on WA. Can I BE More Embarrassed?!?

Haha! Please don't take anything I've said as though I am displeased. No. In fact, I couldn't be Prouder if I tried.

Yes, my embarrassment is real, as I d~r~a~g myself to my computer an' struggle to save face, even knowing that such attitude is unnecessary. But when it all comes together, I feel very pleased to know that my Kiddoes can look to WA for building a future. If this type of embarrassment is what it takes to help me overcome a little Writer's Block, well... I'll take it.

Hi Yaya! Long time, no hear! Good to see you out and about!! Love the humor and I only have one thing to say (surprising, I know)! In all your life when you were so proud of your kids, didn't you boast about them at work, church, shopping, just about everywhere? And did you once say to yourself, "Dang! I love my kids so much and I'm so proud of what they are...because of me!!" No, I see you shaking your head, no! Well, the truth of the matter is, the reason your kids are doing so well, and even surpassed you is because you showed the strength and fortitude it took to be a winner. You did that!! You showed them how to take credit when credit was due, and when no credit was due, be proud of participating! You showed them how to work hard, don't be a slacker, and how to be humble. You did that Yaya, Mama!! I'm so damn proud of your kids because of you!!
Now get out there and leave them in the dirt at the starting line! Ain't that a kick in the pants!! 💕
Yay Us Indeed!! 🌟

Well, Listen to YOU, Liz! You are SUCH a sweetheart! An' you're right, of course. I have Never stopped to consider that I might've had sump'n to do with how those kiddies turned out. Truth be told, I always kinda' figur'd that I was kinda' the stump in the road that was hollding 'em back from greater success.

Thank you SO much for these truly KIND words of encouragement. I've still been struck dumb with my trusty little computer, for awhile, but I hafta' tell you... I do think that is beginning to shed its skin from off my back. Lately, after much struggle an' many hours of reading an' studying, I finally grasped a concept that I b'lieve is pretty important on here an' my confidence is soaring, as a result.

I'm working on my next blog post an', hopefully, it won't be too much longer 'til I actually post it. Praying, anyway. :D

Thank you, again, Liz. I know you will go far because great businesses lead with the heart. An' you surely do have a BIG Heart!

Hugs,
~ Yaya

Hi YaYa!
I loved this post! How great for you to have inspired 2 generations of your family to go after success with WA.
Judging by this post you have no problem expressing yourself, so go get ‘em!
All the best,
KyleAnn

Hey there, KyleAnn!

Thanks so much for your encouragement. I never used to understand how writer's block worked, but the Good News is... now, I have first-hand knowledge an' can even WRITE about it, if I wanna'.

SO thankful to have the kiddies working on WA! I know THEY are all good writers 'cause I've SEEN their Work.

I do love writing, but now I realize that it has a whole 'nuther side to it, I'll be a bit more gracious in the ways I treat OTHER writers.

I am SO thankful that for your kind words. Much success to you!

~ Yaya

Hey YaYa,
Yes I agree with you. My kids laughed when I talked about a UTube video. Not YOU!!! Your too old!!!was my 11 year old granddaughter's reply. Got to love it!!!

Tried and True

Elaine

Hi Elaine,

I had to laugh the other day, when my little brother told me that someone had told him that old people should never be around technology 'cause they jus' don't understand how to use any of it.

His reply? "No... we don't understand it. But WE Invented it!"

I guess kids hafta' feel that they know more than their folks... at least, for a while, anyway. It's okay. They always come back to us when they need us.

What I love is the fact that WA IS for EVERY generation to succeed. We can ALL benefit.

An' how is your YouTube channel doin', may I ask? What's the name of it? If you're not s'posed to show the information Here, please send it in a Private Message to me, okay?

Kids are Great, aren't they?

Thanks for stopping by. :)

~ Yaya

Hey YaYa,
Yes they are and they come up with some of the darnedest things!! But you got to love them!!!

Tried and True

Elaine

That is true. Ya' gotta' love 'em ALL. What treasures kids are!

I can see that you have a pure heart by the way you love the kiddies.

WA has turned into a family affair! How wonderful!
C & P

Ain't THAT a Kick in the Pants?!? I sure love this place.

Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate it.

Many Blessings for success in your business!

~ Yaya

Hello....great story and great writing! I love to hear when the younger generation gets involved in creating their own future. Excited when it's your own family....great support group!
Debbie

Hello Debbie,

You are so kind. Thank you! I have tried for many years to get my family involved in different things, so this is a real perk. I love that they are doin' this without my help, actually. In the first place, I sometimes have difficulty learning an' in the second place, who knows but they'll be able to Help ME, eh? SO Cool.

Thank you so much for your encouragement. Many Blessings to you!

~ Yaya

It must be amazing to be have your family along on this journey with you. I really enjoyed your little story and I am sure you will be producing loads of interesting new content now. All the best, Cass

Hi there, Cass!

It's so nice to meet you! Thank you for not only reading, but for sharing such nice encouragement.

Yes, I am enjoying the whole thing with my daughter an' grandson an' being able to discuss what's going on, with them. I'm not sure, but I think my good hubby-buddy is not long for being a part of WA, as well. Just today, he has come into my office to discuss an' ask so many question. Yup! I think he's gettin' excited 'bout joining the rest of us on this journey.

Sending you much good wishes for the greatest success.

Thanks, again, Cass

~ Yaya

Thank you Yaya. wow that sounds great, more family:)
Have a great night. Cass

You do the same. I look forward to watching your success.

Take care.

Well look at that won't ya . Someone no longer has writers block LOL
A little competition with one's kiddo's are a great thing to have. It can motivate you and them. All in fun of course. Glad to see you writing.

Thank you!

I used to wonder what folks were talkin' 'bout when they spoke of writer's block. Now, I can honestly say that I know EXACTLY what they mean.

The nice thing is, I can also now WRITE with some degree of knowledge 'bout the abyss that writer's block creates in one's mind. Whooooo!!! I sure didn't like the way THAT Felt!

Yup! That gentle competition with the kiddos has come in handy, in the past, a time or two, as well. I guess I'd best keep those young'uns. I never know when I might need 'em again, eh? Haha

Nice to meet you. Thanks so much for commenting. :)

~ Yaya

you gotta love the energy and the enthusiasm of those young ones Yaya however it might be time to get yourself back into the training and give those youngins a run for there money
Nothing like pushing each other along
All the best
Vicki

Thank you, Vicki,

I'm running through summa' those training sessions, all over, again. Guess I never shoulda' stopped studying, in the first place, Hmmm? Live an' learn, I s'pose. *Sigh*

Yes, I think I'm beginning to understand why we have children when we're younger. It seems that as we get older, we need that extra little push from someone with a lot more energy than we've thought to bring along on our "Aging" journey..

Still, let's jus' keep it our little secret 'bout how proud I am of those kiddos. They sure do make a mama feel good, knowing that they can still get me Movin'.

On the other hand, i guess it never hurts to give 'em their OWN Boost, right Back, by prodding 'em with my good feelings, eh?

Gotta' love 'em!

Thanks, again, Vicki.

Yaya, you are so great and so are those kids - I love the energy and love you have for them
I have kids as well and grandkids and they are my best friends and I love the laughter and joy of knowing them as you do yours
Go learn and rock their souls :)
Vicki

Oh, Vicki... you are such a sweetheart. Thank you!

Years ago, someone told me that grand kids are our reward for letting our own kids survive their teenage years. Although their were times I was tempted to believe that (LOL), once I actually became a gramma', I was struck by what a difference grand kids really are.

How so much love can be delivered in such a tiny, little package... is completely beyond my comprehension. Still... I feel so blessed to be on the receiving end of that love.

May I just say... as your grandies grow an' get older, it is most rewarding to realize that Every. Single. Minute. is better than the last.

I was looking at your Introduction Page an' I sincerely look forward to gettin' to know you better. I sense a bit of a kindred spirit in you. I hope I'm right.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. They are especially helpful, since I noticed that you an' I both joined WA at about the same time. Now, it looks like I will hafta' chase YOUR Success, as well, eh? Haha

Thanks for showing me what can be done. Now, I'm off to try an' do the same. Congratulation on a job well done!

Grandies are the soul melters that's for sure Yaya and they make you smile with tears in your eyes every time - They are the most precious gifts
Yes we have some wonderful parallels and I look forward to knowing you more as well Yaya as you are so awesome
Now get to work !!! lol Be you and grow that biz girl!!!
Go easy
Vicki

Ain't that the truth?!? I love those grandies!

Sorry it took me such a long time to respond. I think I must've gotten distracted while I was reading 'cause I see that I had actually clicked on the 'Like' an' then left.

It is taking me some time to embrace the learning an' implement the things I learn, but I keep moving forward, in spite of the struggles. I do have challenges in the learning department, but knowing this is not a race... helps.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I will be watching for you an' have actually crossed paths with you, from time to time. Don't give up on me. I'm still moving forward, even if it is at a snail's pace. 'Sides, moving this slow lets me take in alla' things that I might not learn, otherwise. I only hope I make it before I turn 90. I have a few years to go, yet, so let's hope it happens, eh?

I'm sure we will get there my friend before we are 90 hopefully and still able to get around and enjoy some of the fruits of this work :)
Go well my well
Vicki

You, too. Thank you.
