Got my y Pinterest account reinstated - here's how
Further to this sad and sorry take:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/yanfellow/blog/confessions-of-a-pinterest-spammer
whch I have now updated, I read this post:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/social-engagement-marketing/my-pinterest-account-got-suspended
and below it, Bushra posted this link:
https://seekingserotonin.com/pinterest-suspension/
I followed the instructions which are pretty clear (except Pinterest has since moved the contact links but you'll see them) and! in less than a day my accoount was reinstated and I got the 'sometimes good accounts get swept up with the bad' message.
It doesn't exactly fill you with confidence that this has happened to so many innocent people but such is the lot of we who rely so much on so few BIG companies.
At least, if it happens to you, you have a recourse.
Hope this helps some other poor soul.
Ian

Thanks, Steve. Not a good sitch but I hope the resolution can help anyone else in a similar position
Thanks for sharing Ian, so frustrating when things like that happen good to know there is a road to redemption.
We all jump to blame the platform, the elephant in the room sometimes can be fellow users.
Hi Alex - ultimtely it's the platform that makes the decision, whether manually or automatically.
If someone complains about a post or an account, I think some platform's first move is to take it down rather that actually look at it.
Absolutely NO idea why my account was banned. It is absolutely 100% spam free.
So true Ian, I guess it is something that we can all face from time to time. I must admire your tenacity in sticking to it to get that ban lifted.
An example for us all.
Best wishes as you get back into it.
Thanks, Alex. It wasn't so much tenacity as believing that after losing the appeal there was no way back.
The big platforms make it very difficult to get a message to an actual person. You tried to find Amazon's Live Chat? Great when you get there :-)
Anyway, hope this helps anyone else in the same boat
Ian
