The Money Curse

Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you something I read about a couple of days ago, and it has really been stuck in my head.

And that is the money curse.

And I will explain to you what I mean about the money curse, because money is pretty much why we all are here.

So the money curse is when someone just gets a lot of money without working for it. Which many would think is good, but the post I read talks about this as a curse.

Why?

The post had a good example here, let’s say someone just gets 100 million dollar just like that out of thin air. What would really happen?

Now this person is rich, but what have they learned? NOTHING! That is the whole curse.

It isn’t about the money, it is about the journey to become rich and earn the money! Now I don’t believe that most of you reading this don’t have any experience or haven’t learned anything. I believe the opposite, you probably have experience and learned a thing or two. But I am referring to someone who just have money, and never even done anything for it.

So what can this really mean for you? You are working, and you won’t really get a lot of money without putting in effort.

Well this simply show that just get money won’t help, you wouldn’t learn anything really. And that your failures and regrets is a very important lesson for life. And with that comes the money.

And if you ask me, my failures and regrets are very important for me, it is those that prepare me for the earnings, the work, etc..

That for me is what really counts, more than getting 1 million right away, even if i want to get the money now.

Take care everyone!

Hi Jonathan, I've been in sales for many years. They teach us always to give value to our customers, focus on their pain points, and how to help them find solutions. Then, the money will follow when you do a good service for your customers. Yes, some are born with a silver spoon in their mouths. Some of them are not happy people. As they say, money can be the "root of all evil." in your words, "a curse," which is true. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this. It's the "shiny object" that people are looking for.

Instantly, when they join WA, many will ask us personal questions: how much are you making per month? Are you successful? People ask me these questions. I keep my earnings to myself. Is it required for us to tell people how much we earn? No, we don't have to say to people. It's an option.

I don't want to do that because I believe my financial affairs should be kept private. I might show a few earning examples to prove that something works, but consistently putting that in their face isn't work. Showing value tops it all. The value of what something does that brings money. Suppose you have a product you love and use daily that is valuable. Value 1st, sales come later after they have warmed up to the idea of the value.

What is important is the value of providing a service, which is WA promotion. It's not about money. Money can be made if you put in the effort. If you don't want to do that, don't sign up; this a business that's in hard work and in for the long haul. Money comes later. People looking for that will fail; they jump from one opportunity to another and find that it doesn't work. Right, it doesnt because it's not realistic. Ads can be deceiving; you can make money online with no website, blogs, leads, ads, etc. All that is fake is not even true. To promote something, we have to do the work, the "dirty work."

There is no such thing as the "secret 1, secret 2, secret three, then, at the end, tell you it costs you between 2-3500k high ticket courses that will teach you all their secrets to make money online. Baloney. It's a scam. Those things do not work. It's a shiny object, and many people fall for it. They should be more focused on the value of a product or service; money is what they offer, and people fall prey to it every time.

Wow that was a full post right there Brenda! But I did enjoy reading it, and I like your thoughts on this.

I also agree with you, I haven’t been working with sales that much, but I sure do know a thing or two. And I can agree with you with everything you just said!

Great thoughts there!

I concentrate on being the best I can be at whatever I do and the money usually follows.

When we “chase money” the race to the finish line can be endless and overshadow the more important things in life, like enjoying family and friends.

I live a simple but comfortable life and that’s more than enough for me. 😎

You got a good point there, Frank!

I agree with you too! The meaning of this post was to highlight the fact that receiving money like that, like many people would think, is great, but one of the most important things is what you will learn, and what you have learned.

I have thought that money would solve everything, and if I just got it right away, that would fix everything, but in reality that would almost curse me intead.

It can be challenging to keep the whole money thing in proper perspective, Jonathan.
As necessary as money is, "balance" brings happiness and a life well-lived. 😎

You are right! Really agree with you :)

Your welcome, and that was the purpose of this post, to remind people about the fact that this isn’t only for the money
