My Amazon ads appeared as errors, because I had blocked them
So I was struggling to get my Amazon affiliate linked ads to show up.
I could get the image only ad just fine, and the text only ad was working perfectly.
But whenever I tried to create the default combination of image and text link, it showed up as a broken image link. This was not an ideal situation at all. And the answer was not too easy to find.
What I didn't realise, should have been fairly obvious to me. It was an advert, and I run an adblocker. The ads were totally there, linked and working well, there were just being blocked for me.
So I disabled the adblocker like so... This sets my website as an exception to the adblocker's usual duties.
And voila! Everything works and looks so much better.
I figured that I couldn't be the only one running into this problem, so I figured i would put together a quick post about it. It might explain things like why your ads don't work in one browser yet work perfectly in another.
