The Internet is not promised to no-one!
What a week and a halve it has been! A week where I discovered that the internet is not promise to no-one! This, as an affiliated marketer, can be devastating! As matter of fact this can sink any business in these modern times!
I was “fortunate” enough to win the “no internet for you” lottery this past week! Jip, 3 days with know or very, very slow internet. The only thing slower than my internet speed is the services from my internet services provider! Today mark day 20 since I first logged a complaint for unstable internet connection.
When something like this happens, you struggle to find the positives! Especially after you lost your cool so bad with the call center operator that I think my great grandchildren that still have to be born will have to ask forgiveness for my sins. (P.S. Granddaddy is sorry and loves you ;-))
But, there is always a but! Then the positive things start filling your mind, like the fact that might have been down, but site was not! It might still be in its beginning stages, but it is still the for the world to see.
My business partner and I was privileged enough to be flown to Johannesburg last week by the software company for which we are affiliate marketers for. The meeting, hosted by the companies’ president of Africa and Middle East operations, we were instrumental in the discussion of the development road map for the product and the why the marketing and commission structures are going to work going forward.
This was a huge feather in our cap to be part of a hand pick few to attend this meeting and especially, when we discovered that we where he only one’s of the 9 invited guest to attend the meeting which were flown in! We definitely will be using this trip as part of our marketing strategy, reinforcing our trustworthiness and our expertise on the software!
How appropriate was it that WA decided to do there live training on email marketing this week? Well pretty appropriate for me, seeing that I did my first email marketing news letter this week! But I think we will hold back with next bulk mail until I have done some more training with Jay Saturday morning.

Even in a so called first world country Lima Australia, the Internet can be a joke. Mind you I'm on a cruise in the South Pacific right now, and all things considered, I've been quite impressed with their Internet service so far. -Mark. :)
