Would I Buy From You?
You have to ask yourself, "Why would anyone buy from me"
And when you do you have to consider, there are millions out there selling the same thing. Take WA, 800,000 members. Being very conservative, 50% would be affiliates. They are all selling exactly the same product as you, same compensation plan, same community, same training and same support.
Now, why is someone going to pick you from this crowd?
Have you heard of USP? Unique Selling Proposition. You have to find your's. We all have something we excel at. Everyone is an individual and brings their unique talents to the world.
Find out what are your strong points and use them. Focus on these and build your brand around them.
Above all you need to be yourself, be genuine, be honest and give everything you can. Never try to sell your product, sell yourself and how you can solve problems with your own strengths.
Using your strengths you need to put together your value statement, live your live and build your business around these values.
Connect with people and create a relationship. Be authentic, be confident and be open and most important "Be You"
Do you talk about your product or service or do you talk about you? Well guess what, people want to know about you and what you can offer. Other will offer the same service or product but you have your own way to deliver these in a way no-one else can.
When you are authentic you come from a place of not being needy or greedy. You are completely transparent and people will remember you. They will want to business with you. Maybe not on the first meeting but it well know it takes 7 touches before people with deal with you.
So do your work, understand yourself and work out your USP. Use it to stand out in the crowd.
When you go into a meeting, make a phone call or even in your email, approach it with the thought your are going to make their day better for engaging with you.

This is powerful stuff :-)
Here's a quote from Seth Godin that relates to this:
"Marketing is no longer about the stuff that you make, but about the stories you tell"
Telling stories that give value and at the same time allow ppl to get to know the real YOU will definitely take us places in this business.
Thanks for this :-)
God stuff Kev. The best salesman I ever knew, I didn't even realize was a salesman at first. I thought he was tech support because he was always extremely helpful.. He went above and beyond and never pushed any particular product.
Hey Jeff, people who sell without you realising have an incredible talent. We can learn this too. Thanks for your comment. Cheers Kev
