Hi Kyle,

You said to ask questions if I need help, so here goes. I'm at the build a site stage in course 1 but have 2 questions before I start.
First, I haven't decid

hi when I go to websites I don't see word press why please can some one answer me please

yes I don't unstand why world press not there

Question: Is there a "Person" in WA who is a website builder? I would like to find some one in WA who is a site builder, and will build a website for me? Please do not mention Fiverr and such others Thank you

Have you thought about doing the training as this will help you build a website and is part of your membership here in WA
I see by your profile you haven't started this yet and if you want someone else to build it for you - they will most likely charge you a lot of money
the training is easy to understand and I'm sure step by step you can do this :)
Believe in you Thelma :)

Hi Will!

You will want to maul over what niche you want to focus on first and foremost. There are a ton of resources and help on how to choose a niche here at Wealthy Affiliate. It's not easy! The good news is there are trillions of things you could write about. The possibilities are endless!! So don't worry, just take it one step at a time. You will have a full blown website before you know it.

I would definitely make a decision before you start creating your website because it will have a large impact on how you organize information.

Your website will be live once you create it but that is a good thing! You won't be getting any traffic because you won't have any content to start. You will want it to be live so that when you start publishing posts, the search engines can recognize ('index') your new website.

Does any of that make sense? Let me know if you have any more questions. Here to help!

Hi Helen,

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to respond to my question. I already have a niche idea, my problem is I haven't decided how to structure the site yet and wanted to understand my options in that regard.
Thanks.

I see. I had some questions on that when I got started too. It's something I think that gets ironed out and changed around over time so I wouldn't worry too much about that as long as you have a basic idea. What's your niche? Maybe I can help.

Hi Helen,

Thanks for getting back to me again. I was going to build a site around a specific type of pillow, but I think I've changed my mind and I'm going to start with a simple blog site on a specific medical issue and see how I get on. I can always then start a new site on the original idea once I have a little experience. I'll let you know the address once I've built it out a little.
What line of business are you concentrating on?

Regards,

Will.

My blog is about essential oils and general holistic wellness. Go take a look!

One kind of pillow might be too specific, but take a step back to 'therapeutic pillows' and that would be a great niche. Not too narrow or broad. What medical issue are you looking at?

Hi Helen,
I took a look at your site - it's great, good job. Is it bringing you in any income yet?
The medical issue interestingly is Gastritis which has been a problem for me this last year or so. I thought i'd do a blog about it and link to some of the products I have found useful. Like you, I prefer to work with natural/herbal products if possible, instead of medications.
If that goes OK, and I have a little experience, then I'll revert to my other idea as a separate site. What do you think?

Best regards,

Will.

Thank you! Yes! I've been working on it for 2 going on 3 months now and I've just started making some sales which is super exciting. Nothing big but I am so close, I can feel it.

That sounds like a great niche! Especially with your personal experience. People will relate to you.

It took me quite a bit of time and consistency to develop the site I have now, so how you move forward really depends on how much free time you've got on your hands. I'm a full time college student, so one site is pushing it for me.

My advice would be to pick a niche you really love or want to learn more about because you're going to be spending a lot of time on the topic. There's no quick and easy way to gain income through the internet.
