I love the holiday lights this time of year. Actually, this time of year seems to be the most stressful time of year for me, but I always try to take a little time out to see the lights.

Although I live in a very rural area that is lacking in many things, one thing we’re not short of is the holiday lights. Not far away we have a fairground that has a drive-through display every year. With 27 acres of lights, you can see the most amazing displays.

Most of you have heard the song about grandma getting ran over by a reindeer, but did any of you know that reindeer was driving a monster truck?

Rudolph loves hiding in various spots throughout the park.

This must be where Santa goes after Christmas.

Right down the road there is a church that always has a beautiful display as well.

I do also enjoy baking, so this time of year gives me a chance to do that. Every year I make my big batch of Chex Mix, along with lots of cookies and fudge.
