Major Life Challenges, my path thru Divorce

So grieving happens when we lose someone near and dear to us and losing the person that you thought you would spend the rest of your life with(whether through death or divorce) is enough to send you into grief mode. Your emotions will be all over the place until you are ready to get on with the business of living life to the fullest again. These emotions are normal and we all process pain differently. Some people will hurt a few days or weeks but some struggle with the pain for years. I can tell you, I struggled with the very thought of divorce because in my mind; marriage was suppose to be the happily ever after. I beat myself up because my belief system was not in alignment with the D-word. I had to get past the voices I'm my head. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. My life has totally been restored but it wasn't always the case. When you are grieving, let your time on social media. I literally had a breakdown on social media. However, it was the best thing and the worst thing that could have happened. Bad, in that I got lots of attention but good because I am able to change the lives of others that are going through the same issues. It led me to becoming a Coach. Once you go through that kind of pain, there is so much beauty on the other side of it. It will take you to such an authentic place and really do feel joy that you can't even imagine would be possible after divorce. You must make the choice that you want to be happy. You see, this was not my first rodeo(I can say that lightly now but not always). I was far from being authentic with my first two divorces; I was ashamed and I isolated myself from everyone. I buried myself in my work and was very unhappy but with a smile on the outside. If at all possible, try not to isolate yourself because your mind will have a pity(party) and wreck havoc on your brain. I didn't know back then, like I know now; that my thoughts create my reality. I put this in almost all my post because it so powerful when you really get this principle. Love and Blessings.

Hang in there Willie! I've been through divorce and am also a widower before my current marriage!

Jeff

Hey Willie it must take a lot of courage to be as transparent as you are being now. Sharing your trials and triumphs through the adversity and pain of divorce. I am glad that you are a better person now and willing to chaperone others as a Life Coach. Good for you. Looking forward to hearing and seeing you much more. Take care.
