God is Faithful during Grief

What I learned from going through more than one divorce is that God is Faithful and he will sustain you. He will not leave you when your are going through one of the most challenging things in life that you can ever go through. It may feel at times, like you are losing your mind but I know that God will bring you through it because he brought me through three. You maybe going through a breakdown while trying to get to your breakthrough but trust and believe that on the other side of that pain; your breakthrough is waiting. Something I found to be true when going through grief; The devil will lie to you and make you feel that you will always feel this way. You won't. It will get better. Some people heal faster than others do but you will get there. You maybe having problems sleeping, if so; ask for help. Grief coupled with sleep deprivation is not a healthy combination. It is not only a day by day process but a second by second process but you can do it. You are more than a conqueror through Christ that strengthens you. You may not want people to help you but show some grace because your family and friends love you and really do want to help. Isolation will only keep you stuck. If you can open up and talk, it may help you heal faster; as oppose to keeping everything bottled up inside. No one wants to feel pain or have their emotions going up and down but your emotions will level out eventually. Your friendships will change. You will deepen friendships with some and lose friendships with others. It's normal. You are not losing your mind. It's grief. It's hard on you and hard on those around you. Grief may knock you down while out running errands on a typical day but know that God's got you. Pray, meditate and use affirmations to get you through it. There is no magic wand to wave and get you through the first year but you will need someone much stronger than you to get you through it. No, God is not punishing you, contrary to how you are feeling. God loves you in the midst of your test and trials. It is in your weakness that he is strong. God's Grace is suffient and the joy of the lord is your strength; so try not to lose your joy and if you do for a moment, reach back and get your joy. Your Faith will help you push forward; even if it's the size of a mustard seed, it will get you through the next second, the next minute, the next hour and then the next day. I love you, God Bless.
