I Think I Got Off Course
What's Up Ahead
Life is a journey with a lot of unknowns. We need to believe in ourselves enough to know that we can accomplish whatever we set our minds to in order to arrive at the destination we set out for, We must keep our eyes on the target. Keeping our eyes fixed on the goal will help to achieve it sooner.
Uh-Oh! What Was That
Distraction just showed up. And what was that? Aw, I missed my turn. And these pot holes, ruts, and bumps. Now I'm frustrated and discontented. Now I'm doubting why I even began to start this way. I'll never find my way, what should I do? I should have never started this trip in the first place.
Now, just pull over, rest a little, and clear the mind. Why did I start this journey at WA in the first place.
Oh yes. I wanted to have a better and more enjoyable way of life. Oh yeah, there is my wife and grandchildren that I want to do so many things for. I'd like to go to a restaurant, open the menu and not have to look at the right side first before I look at what I'd like to order, checking the prices. Oh yeah, I don't want to have to worry where every penny comes from.
So why am I sitting here by the side of the road having a pity party?
Not any longer. I'm committing myself to finish what I started and finish my course.
The Brighter The Trip Becomes
I'm returning to where I got off course and pick my journey back up. Oh yeah, this is where I made the wrong turn. The sun is coming out. The trip is starting to look brighter. It seems more pleasant going this way. And the people I pass even seem friendlier. Oh, I'm glad I decided to stay the course. I can see now the progress that is being made now on this journey.
And I feel so much better.

Very inspiring William. This is like a prose.
While I was reading it The Beatles "Long and winding road" came to mind.
Life is a journey but we must always focus on our goals and get back on track.
All the best!
I find, too, that if I keep my eyes on my goal, it's much easier to combat the constant distractions I encounter daily. Thank you!
Holishope, thanks for the comment. It's easy to get distracted. We have to be disciplined to keep our eyes on our goals.
