Tips on How to Grow Your Instagram Account Organically
Hey Guys!
Today I want to quickly share a few tips with you guys on how I was able to take a newly created account and quickly grow my followings. Withing a week I was able to grow my followers by 50 and by a week and half It grew to 60. I have daily interactions with my followers and continue to receive likes.
So how did I do it?
Well, firstly, i'll assume that you are familiar with Instagram and know the basics on how to use it (know how to post, like, hashtag, edit pictures, etc...).
1. Gaining Attention
You must know your niche and know who is your targeted audience.
Search for hashtags related to your niche and keep note of the top popular 5 hashtags for your niche. Search for recent post on the top 5 hashtag and like the top 7-10 recent post (not the trending).
For each post that you like, click on the persons account and like their top 3 post. leave a comment and like on the 3rd photo.
**Don't leave a generic one word comment*** > really express how you feel about their post (one sentence is fine) and what you like about it. Also helps to ask them a question in regards to their post.
(Sounds like a lot but it goes by quickly)
2. Know when to post
There is a sweet spot for when to post and when not to post, this is all depending on the time and place where you live. Example for me during the weekday (I live in NYC), most people take their lunch break between 12-2pm. This is the time where I post my first picture of the day (usually around 1). The second post of the day is between 7-9 PM (usually 8PM). This is normally the time when people are out of work and going back home. Which they then use most of their time using their phones browsing Instagram.
Play around with posting at different times and take note of the times which get more likes.
3. Posting
Using hashtags is a great way to further spread your photo and account. Keep using hashtags related to your post. Example> my new niche is NYC photography, most of the hashtags I use are as followed > #newyork #nyc #streetphotographer #canon #canont6i #t6i (these are my main hashtags). Once your photo is posted add a comment with further hashtags. Remember you are allowed to post up to 30 hashtags! use it to your advantage.
4. Interaction
When people like your post go into their account and like some of their post back (you don't need to follow and you don't need to do this for everyone).
5. Consistency
Like everything else consistency is key content is important as well, but not as nearly as important as consistency. Keep posting everyday in order to get momentum going!
These are the main 5 things I do in order to grow my Instagram accounts.
