Your Vegas Adventure Awaits

Hi WA Friends,

A few weeks ago, Kyle blogged about the Las Vegas Super Affiliate Conference coming up in 2024. You now only need to get 100 premium or premium plus+ sign ups between September and the end of the year to qualify for this exciting, high-end getaway.

However, should you not meet the requirement, you can always take a trip there on your own because after all, it's just plain fun to visit there.

So a few short weeks ago, that is exactly what I decided to do, since I am not actively promoting WA and will not be meeting those qualifications.

After a very stressful past couple of months, I took the plunge and booked a well-earned vacation to Las Vegas where I had an absolutely phenomenal time.

Want to see the Eiffel Tower, NY's Chrysler Building and the canals of Venice all within a few short miles? No problem.

There is everything and anything you can think of to do in Las Vegas. It truly is the entertainment capital of the world. Whether you are into a thrilling race car adventure driving around the LV Speedway or you prefer the quietude of a lounge chair by a pool cabana, you are sure to find something to delight you.

Once upon a time, Vegas was the place to go mainly for gambling, low cost hotel rooms and cheap buffets. Well, those days are over.

The restaurant scene is expansive and plentiful. From high end to fast food, there is something for every taste and budget. This time, I had to try the famous In-N-Out Burger...and yes, they really are all about the hype!

There are many famous "tv" chefs (think Gordon Ramsey, Guy Fieri, Giada etc.) who all have establishments all along the Strip. Whatever you settle on, you're sure to have a great time!

One morning I decided to treat myself to breakfast around the pool. The acai bowl, toast and green tea was lovely, but the $41 bill not so much! Oh well, it was a well earned splurge.

Have a craving to go back in time? Why not check out a classic tiki bar during your stay! That is exactly what I did complete with crab rangoon and a tall, cool, fruity libation.

It was a real blast from the past and so fun. Even here, there was in-counter gaming at which you must sit down to play (or you're breaking the law).

If you go to LV, be sure to visit the Conservatory at the Bellagio. Multiple times a year they change the floral displays and they are spectacular (and crowded).

During my visit, there was a beautiful bird display which couldn't have been more perfect in my eyes. How did they know haha?

There was a giant hummingbird and goldfinch all done with orchids and florals that were gorgeous. Absolutely incredible!

There are a lot of changes happening in Las Vegas. In November, they will host the Formula One race (hence the inconvenient construction along the Strip). And in February, they will host the Super Bowl.

Sadly, the iconic Mirage hotel will soon be closing as it changes over into a Hard Rock Hotel. The famous volcano that draws large crowds to its show every evening will be dismantled much to the dismay of local residents who had hoped to save it. This is amongst the last of the free entertainment to be found on the Strip.

And then the new Sphere at the Venetian Resort will open at the end of this month. This massive complex cost $2.3 billion to build over the past 5 years. This engineering marvel is all the about LED lighting and sound. It currently draws plenty of street spectators from the Sands Bridge, where you can watch the continuously changing exterior light show.

It's nothing short of awesome. Those who will be lucky enough to experience it are surely in for some premium entertainment.

The weather during my visit was a toasty 107F until the last day where we ended up having a flash flood and it cooled down to 75F. That was quite fascinating to witness 2 inches of rain fall in 45 minutes.

And then it happened again later in the day, stranding us inside the Caesar's Forums shops...gee, darn! Las Vegas Blvd. looked like a river. Every few minutes there were the screams of pedestrians getting smacked with waves by idiots driving too quickly.

Well, back to reality.

Keep on working hard and soon you may just end up making that amazing Conference!

Have a great day,

Susan

So you have been hiding out in Vegas recently then Susan... that will explain your absence from here!

Sounds like you enjoyed a wonderful time there, but... it is one of the places I would least like to visit on the planet!

If I want to see the Eiffel Tower, I will go to Paris, if I want to experience the canals of Venice, I will go to Venice and as for seeing the Pyramids... well you have guessed it my friend!!

I am sure there is something for everyone there and I appreciate you sharing your experience, but..... not for me!!

Enjoy the rest of your week ok!!

👍🥂🤗

Hi Nick! You’ve found me out lol.

I’m not surprised in your assessment at all. After all, you’ve got the real deal within easy access.

I’ve travelled to all those places too and it can’t compare with the real thing of course. However, for us North Americans, it is still an enjoyable spot to play and escape for a while. Think of it what you will. No worries as it’s not for all.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

🤣🤣👍

I have indeed visited the "real" places and much more Susan, but.... I totally understand where you are coming from here!

Not everyone is able to travel as they wish, I can't as well!! Just yet!!

I would love to see what beautiful places "The Big Country" has to offer... but I am pretty sure that the vast majority of them are way better than Vegas!

Take care dear friend and enjoy the rest of your week as well!!

👍🥂🤗

What a fabulous vacation, Susan. Vegas certainly sounds like a great destination vacation city, with plenty to do and see. Rick is a poker player and we have often talked of going for a visit. You have inspired me to plan one. Probably not until next year, though - we are off to the UK next Tuesday for three weeks. Cheers, Jenni.

It was a wonderful time, Jenni and I highly recommend you put it on your list. You and Rick would love it as there’s something for everyone! And poker is never too hard to find. Probably best to wait until next year anyway when some of these huge events are over.

The UK sounds awesome. I hope you have a safe and fantastic trip! Best wishes.

Cheers,
Susan

Looks amazing, Susan! Look at all of that flood. 😳

Have fun!

Myra 💜

It totally was, Myra! I’m already thinking about my next visit. The flood was crazy. Thanks for taking time to drop by.

Susan 😎👍🏻
