New Apple iCloud Scam Email
Last Update: Sep 18, 2023
Hi WA Friends,
This is a little head's up for any of you iCloud users. You may see an email like what I received below:
Note that it is a scam pure and simple. When you investigate the sender's email, it comes up as some bogus person's name @icloud.com. That's the first red flag.
Then as you read through the email, you will notice the obvious grammatical errors. That's always a huge tip off that this type of thing is a scam.
Another red flag is when you notice at the start it says, "we received an instruction..." That is obviously not written by a native English speaker.
As you read further, the unusual language jumps off the page - "we will continue with request..."
These scams are getting more and more common. But it never hurts to stay aware and trust your gut.
If something doesn't sound right or the grammar is off, so is the notification. Press delete and move on.
Have a great day!
