I know this is a noob question, but it would help me tremendously. I need information about keywords.
How they work, how to use them, and such.
Google - How do the keywords work in google? Is this Title keyword, or is it the keywords in your site, or the in the site description that you write up? So, how do they work from your site to google, and what is the function to getting on 1st page?
Articles - First, how do they work in articles? Should you have the keyword in the title? Should there be keywords in the text? Do the articles work the same in google as your website? i.e., does someone type a keyword, and you article potentially shows up?
I can't seem to grasp the whole context and how it works in the whole sphere of IM and my articles @ SA. I mean, I kind of am starting to get it, but all information contained in this one blog post would help so much. Please explain the whole concept and how it works to me, so I can get a better graps of how to write, and what I am doing with my site.
I want everyone's opinions and answers, so please don't hesitate to offer. Thank ya'll for all the help ya'll have given

Google-People who use google type words into the search bar. We as marketer's refer to the user's search query as keywords. Google has an algorithm which ranks webpages according to what it believes is the most relevant webpage to the search the user has done(keyword).

Articles-According to training here have the keyword you are targeting(trying to rank on the first page of google) in the title and in the first paragraph. The rest of the article just write naturally.

Articles basically work the same as the content on your web page. The main draw to articles is that they can get ranked a lot faster on sites like street articles than on a new site that you have just created. However, over time you can get content on your site ranking in the search engines as well.

Your Blog-Pretty much use the keyword that you want to show up on the first page of google in the blog post title. Use it in the first paragraph. Some additional steps would be to write a meta description, meta tags, and title tags using All in one SEO plugins.

That's pretty much the basics. Let me know if you have any questions.

You said it all. First, when using the keyword tool in Google always use Exact when trying to find a keyword. I would also use the keyword tool in WA and look for a QSR rating of 400 or below. Click on the View Results in the Competition column and the number should be 400 or less. You will have an excellent chance in ranking on the first page in the search engines.
Articles, Yes do include the keyword in the title and somewhere in the first paragraph of your article. Other than that, just write excellent content and you will get ranked in the search engines. If your article is one where you want the visitor to buy something, have that information near the bottom of the article. Have a link to there to buy a product or go to the page where you have this product and provide the visitor with more information about the product. I hope this helps. Good luck!

It's all of those things and a lot more. Read up on keyword training bits in the training section - that'll get you started.
