Are you familiar with this niche? I need some advice.
I want to keep this short, so I only have few questions.
Recently, I've been through some things, which gave me an idea about starting a new niche. One of my closest is an alcoholic and keeps tormenting everyone nearby, so I want to write a blog about alcoholics and all sorts of addiction, including what causes them, how to deal with and recover from them. But I need some advice, or more specifically, some examples.
Therefore, my questions are:
- Are you writing blogs about this niche? If yes, would you provide me some suggestions, such as which kind of articles should I start with, where do you search for professional information when you need some in-depth details, what you've been through to make your website successful in this niche, etc?
- If you don't have websites about this niche, have you seen other websites in the similar topics? If so, would you provide me the URLs of them so I can take them as references?
- Do you know anything about this topics? I'm open with all kinds of suggestions?

Hi Henry,
I think this would be a really tough niche unless you have had a great deal of first hand experience with addiction. Unless you are a professional in that area, it would be awful difficult to write about what causes people to be alcoholics or other types of addicts.
I wouldn't even know how you would monetize this topic unless you offered professional services such as counseling.
Totally agree Barbara. I reckon this is a tough one unless there is lived experience or work in the profession and have direct experience that way.

I think you could build a very interesting site if you have the stamina to do the research. You would need to build credibility. Make sure you can show references.
It could perhaps be aimed at friends and family providing support.
If I wanted to build such a site I would check out the competition and look for related products first to figure out if it is both technically and financially viable.
